Amazing device. The extra lead providing important information
While one lead devices provide rhythm information, the extra lead gives some extra valuable insight to where the rythm is originating. I am not sure about the full ECG biew as it is extrapolated but I would not expect to replace an ECG machine with this. The key thing is that you can detect the P waves for those that have problems such as atrial flutter or similar. I was a bit puzzled in the beginning but the device works perfectly well without a subscription. It is very easy to use and if you have e problems a tiny bit moist at the skin contact points can make any difficulties go. I am not sure about the automatic diagnosis. I am a doctor with baseline ECG traning so for me it is enough. It usually gets the sinus rhythm right but it misses a bigeminy that lasted 15 seconds and it had some hard boundaries about what it considered tachy/bradycardia. I am very happy with the purchase a d I would definitely recommend this over the single lead version.

Handy item!
Not a bad little device tbh, although some what awkward to use if you want to use the hands and knee/ankle function if your out and about but you could just use the single hands function, however i think its prone to interference( to close to wires or computer etc) if its at all noisy in or out including if its windy out which is when i need to use it sometimes as that is when i get symptoms that i need to monitor. i think its a great device and easy to use plus it does give quite a detailed ecg reading although i think it will give you a brief version of the results unless you pay for the a 12 month plan which includes 4 yes only 4 readings per 12 month as I read it OR you pay for individual readings £5 each as and when you require them which is what i have done but not always necessary as it does give you some results like "possible atrial fibrillation" so no need to send your report off but its probably an idea to contact your doctor or indeed hospital if you feel the need , i do believe its fairly accurate and i have seen data online to say it is also although the the medical field probably wont take the devices info over theres as i found out but i still argued my case with it and im glad i did as it has indicated a number of issues i have AF, Bradycardia and heart rate below 35 bpm, it will register things like unclassified or unreadable which i believe is just because it falls outside there parameters but you still get the ecg and can save it which i have done as those are the ones with the greatest heart faults on. its also got a function that you can add your own notes and symptoms to a recording bp etc plus choose other items from a list, i had looked at watches and sent one back before getting this device as it was useless tbh and totally incorrect, would i recommend this item ....simply yes i would for the money £150 for the 6 line one, my doctor recommended it to me and i have emailed the data over to them. It is CE approved on the item, i dont go anywhere without this item now im very pleased with it.

Not for me
It works, and would work well on those with certain conditions. The monitor is as simple to operate as is possible, and is light enough not to be a pain if having to keep in one's pockets all day. It doesn't come with any kind of display. One has to download the Kardia app onto a smartphone. That's the first problem - not everyone has a smartphone, or one with a reliable bluetooth connection. My issues with it stem from 1) the short time it records for - this was no good for me AT ALL. My problem is very infrequent, rather than an every other beat issue. And 2) the time it takes to connect it and start recording makes it unusable for cardiac events that have a short duration. One needs to unlock ones phone, scroll to find the app, open the app, set it to the 6-lead trace, then take the monitor out from whichever pocket and holder it's in, roll-up one's trouser legs or pull down tights etc, place it against the leg and then put the fingers on it - all before it can start recording. If they made this is such a way that it was worn as a pair of rings/bracelets/wriststraps, with a patch that could be worn continuously on the leg, and if it could be set to record continuously, as with a 24+hr tape, then I would have found it of use. As it is, I returned it. The other issue to keep in mind is the need for a subscription to their service if you have anything more than e.g. tachycardia. That is nothing more than gross American capitalism if you ask me. This is literally trying to help people save their own lives and yet they require you to pay as much for a year's subscription as they do for the device. Fair enough, most people should be able to get a reasonable diagnosis of what's ailing them within a couple of months. But if that's the case, just increase the price of the device by £20 and stop scrounging for more money! It gives you the option to save the trace/report, to export it as a PDF, and to change the level of detail included. Every time you try to export the PDF, it will remind you that they can't be responsible for securing your information if you download it. But tbh, with the amount of business hacking going on these days, it's safer downloaded to your device than in their data storage anyway. So this isn't knocking it - for many users, this will be a game-changer. For some, like me, it is inconvenient and simply not able to do what's needed. I will also say that the returns process for me was very simple. No quibble refund from Prime.

Medical grade, heart data capture device.
I was advised to purchase this device - the KardiaMobile 6-Lead Personal ECG Heart Rate Monitor, by my cardiologist, because I have been experiencing unexpected episodes of tachycardia (fast and irregular heart beats). The data that this device captures is of such a high medical standard that it can be interpreted by healthcare professionals. The device itself is small and discrete so it can be taken out everywhere with me. Readings are taken by pressing the device onto one’s thigh using both thumbs and holding it there for 30 seconds while the smartphone app captures a recording. In fact I recently experienced a bout of tachycardia whilst I was out shopping in a high end department store. So, I opened the app, placed my phone on a nearby counter, then pushed the device down a trouser leg using both hands, pressing it into my thigh with both thumbs, all whilst attempting to operate my phone screen with my nose. Almost immediately I was being dragged out of the store by two security guards who ignored my please of “I’ll be finished in 30 seconds”. However, I am so glad that I bought this device and the peace of mind that comes with it, in being able to provide valuable, useable data for my heart consultant. Recommend!

Amazing tech that's a potential life saver.
After having a trip to A&E with a very slow pulse that would jump up to 130 then down to 40, I thought I'd try this. In hospital they did a 2 minute ECG but nothing showed up, and I was told the wait for a 24 or 48hr wearable monitor cod be a week and several weeks to diagnose the results, so I bought this 6L version as that's all my phone can use ( they are all different so check compatibility ). Within 3, 30 second checks, it picked up the missing beats and the app actually diagnoses the problem, mine being Premature Ventricular Contractions. As this is my heart and possibly my life on the line, I've signed up to the £9.99 monthly deal and sent of the ECG reading to a cardiologist for a proper human diagnosis for a £5 and it came back agreeing with the app. You can also enter blood pressure on the app and add notes to everything. You can even pair a BP monitor to the app. Everything was really straight forward, clear instructions and one happy customer. It's also sold by the British Heart Foundation, so it's not some rubbish of the internet that has no real medical benefit. Worth every penny. Just going to add an obvious bit of advice. If you think your having a heart attack or serious medical episode, then just call the emergency services first as every second counts with heart attacks.

Does not use UK or EU measurement standards!
It's a con, you buy this and only get all the features if you pay for the premium subscription. Without this subscription it's not a 6 lead ecg. The app is obviously designed for the American market, spelling, dates and worst of all, it uses American standards to measure things like BP which told me I've for hypertension when I don't, it panicked me a bit when I seen it, so I spent over an hour on the phone to speak with my Dr and cardiologist to be reassured I'm fine and don't have hypertension. American standards are different to EU and UK standards, I'm really confused how they can sell a medical device in the UK and EU that uses Amarican standards. Every other medical app I have for a device allows me change the settings to use the measurements that suit my region, this doesn't. It's as if it was designed for the American market and they they though, let's sell it in Europe and the UK too and did nothing to make it match our standards. Privacy is also a big concern, they send your data outside the UK and EU. If they aren't meeting basic EU medical standards in their app, I would bet they aren't adhering to EU data laws either. Overall the device itself is good, but you've got to pay to use it fully, if not it's like a cheap one lead. They didn't bother using UK or EU standards for measurements, so you've got to figure this out yourself with each reading. Personally I'm sending mine back and going with a brand I can trust not to rip me off and steal my data.

Easy to use . Highly recommend
I'm so pleased with this. Definitely takes away the worry, and it's so easy to use. The free app is very easy to set up, and easy to use. Have been debating getting one for ages, and got one when price was reduced. Small , light and compact. Perfect on the go or at home. Highly recommend. Even if you don't need it, high chance that someone you know, will.

Absolutely delighted with the Kardia 6L
I've always thought I had an irregular heartbeat but anytime I had an ecg it came up normal. In December 2020 and January 2021 I started to struggle when exercising, suddenly I could only run half the distance that I previously run. I had no energy. On a few occasions at night I had to breathe deeply because I felt out of breath. I was also feeling dizzy when standing up. I went to the Dr's and for the first time an ecg flagged up that I had 'atrial fibrillation'. I was referred to a cardiologist and whilst awaiting a phone consultation I had an episode that started on a Sunday night. I was due to have a 24hr ecg monitor the following Friday, and when on Tuesday I still didn't feel great I decided to buy the Kardia 6L. I thought that by Friday the symptoms might have gone so in order to give the cardiologist a record of the heartbeat I ordered it on Prime and received it on Wednesday. On that day and Thursday it stated that there were signs of AF and I could see it on the chart. On Friday, as suspected, it indicated the episode had ended so the 24 hr monitor probably didn't pick it up (still waiting for the result). I am so glad that I bought this. I had not previously had an episode as serious as this one. It lasted 4 days and it was uncomfortable. I haven't yet had a recurrence of the AF but I test myself every day. I've decided that if it shows AF I won't exercise on that day. I had concerns that it may not work with my phone as it wasn't on the official compatible list, however there was no problem setting it up. My phone is a Huawei P20 Pro. It is easy to save the results and email them to yourself for onward transmission to anyone you want to. When I spoke to the cardiologist he said he'd seen no ecg's yet so I agreed to get my Dr's to send the one they did and I persuaded him to receive the Kardia ones. He was a bit reluctant at first but the following day I got a message back saying that the ones I'd sent him confirmed Paroxysmal AF. He may have got this solely from the Dr's ecg, but I believe he also looked at the Kardia results. I've used it to test my family and its an important piece of equipment for me now. When you research it online there have been a number of studies of the cheaper device that were summarised in an article by NICE. The results were positive and the benefit is obvious - you can capture episodes that an arranged ecg at the Dr's may not. In addition for me I think that sometimes I may have an episode that I'm not conscious about, such as those times that I was struggling to run. Now I can check myself first. I can't comment on the longevity of the device because I've only had it a couple of weeks. I would be very disappointed if the was a problem with it, but so far so good.

Kardiamobile and the Kardia App for Android
Kardia mobile 6-lead device is better than the single-lead version as it gives a clearer picture of the ECG trace for heart arrythmias. However, the associated Kardia app is not downloadable in Singapore to Android users and the device is useless without the App. The solution is to "sideload" the Kardia app via APK from a number of sites, eg. APKPure. After installing the app, everything works perfectly.

Excellent technology. Easy to use.
Amazing product. Easy to use. Accurate ECG for me as I have chf with pvcs and af. I also bought the case to keep the unit in. Had it checked by a Medico and they were also impressed. Would recommend to anyone wanting to monitor their heart output. Only thing I submitted one for review and info returned was exactly the same as free analysis so I won't bother with the Clinical review again.
