This Schmidt roller easyFLOW Blue Ink refill glides more easily over the paper than any other writing system. The ink flow starts instantly even after a longer pause of writing. Easily, as never seen before, you get a writing that is regular, strong, precise and clean. Review: Excellent Refills - Bought these for my Parker Jotter pen - lovely refills! The ink is darker than the original Parker refill that came with the pen itself. Smooth writing & ink flow is excellent. Ink color is a nice dark blue - very pretty. Definitely would buy again. Review: The Best Refills for Parker - In my book Schmidt 9000 M is the best refill cartridge for Parker pens. I prefer blue ink, in a dark hue, and smooth delivery. Gel pens can deliver in the color, but not as smooth. Plus, gels are more likely to ruin a shirt when I forget to retract the point before putting the pen back in my pocket. So, oil based ballpoints only for me. I've tried several others. For comparison: * Parker Quinkflow Medium Point are simply too light in color for me. * Leuchtturm Bold Point Royal Blue are darker, but tend to have problems starting (fine once you get the ink flowing, but first stroke is often too light). * Monteverdi Blue/Black Medium is a close second to Schmidt. Very smooth, though surprisingly not quite as dark as I expected considering the Blue/Black color name. Still much darker than Parker and a little darker than Leuchtturm, though. * Schmidt 9000 Medium in Blue is the smoothest, and by far the darkest blue. It does lean a little more toward purple than the others, which suits me fine. Still blue, but a warmer shade of blue. And it delivers a good solid line from the first stroke.

Decent refills
Only 2 of the 3 refills worked. The 3rd one skipped and stopped working after a paragraph. No matter what I did, it wouldn’t work as if it were out of ink. I would have given it 5 stars if all 3 refills worked.

I’m on the fence.
When I first put pen to paper with one of these cartridges I was giddy. Smooth like a gel pen but with the promise of much longer write out length. But after just one cartridge I’m not so sure. The stories about skipping are true. At times I would be writing merrily along and then suddenly I can’t get it to write. Reach over and write on another piece of paper and it’s all fine. Go back to the page where it skipped and it still won’t write. What? And now the same cartridge has transitioned from skipping to leaking. It’s not dripping like a fountain pen but there can often be blobs of ink around the end of the pen including the spring. Makes quite a mess. I’m thinking for me a fountain pen is actually less frustrating which is a bit of a disappointment. I was looking for a pen that was a little friendlier for travel.

game-changer
I dislike regular ballpoint refills. Too much friction, and the ink always seems faint to me. Gels are more my style: They glide; the ink is *dark*. But see, with a gel, you can never get those gooey effects that are possible with a ballpoint... EasyFlow 9000 is apparently some kind hybrid between ballpoint and gel (?). Anyhow you get all the gel benefits + it's a paste, so there's some goo. You can see and feel that what you're laying down on the page is *thick*. To me, they're dreamy. First time I had a 9000 in a Retro 51 Tornado, I was like BOOM. I set about systematically replacing everything in my (1) Levenger pens, (2) Retro 51 pens, (3) Karas pens. One disappointment. They will not go into a modern Sensa. Try it. There's a tiny thickness issue on the back end of the 9000 that prevents it from engaging with the Sensa guts. Really too bad, ’cuz a 9000 would have been perfect, completely in accord with the whole point of a Sensa... One final point. These things are made by Schmidt in Germany. I have to say, that is a company I trust. Their fountain pen nibs are special. Levenger FPs have ’em. I see there are many reviews that complain of 9000s skipping, leaking, etc. Not my experience. I mean, I guess they skip a teeny bit every once in a blue moon...

Quality, smoothest writing and great ink color.
These are absolutely the smoothest refill I've ever used. The color is great and looks good on paper.

Worst refills I have ever bought.
I have several CountyComm pens around the house that came with black Schmidt cartridges. I hate black ink so I bought these blue replacements. The first one bled out in my wife's purse, luckily the cap was screwed on the pen. The second one in the kitchen writes a word or two then starts skipping before quitting completely. The third one is at my desk and it skips occasionally. I can't help but think they might be counterfeit. Garbage regardless. Not sure what I'm going to do going forward. I have a lot of the pens, when the Schmidt cartridge works, it's awesome.
