Works wonderful, even when you are new to mold making and a bit of an idiot LOL! I made a most awesome huge bear head with this silicone. The title says it's translucent clear, it's not at all but it is strong. It captures every detail and makes an exact copy down to the shiny nose and eyes and deep fur on the bear. It was easy to mix and easy to pour. Not sure how long it took to cure but it was poured in the evening and ready in the morning. The bear you see in the picture is straight out of the mold. It was poured in black dyed resin, it is not painted at all and no special eyes or anything added.

I mixed and poured this in my basement which was at about 60 degrees Fahrenheit and probably relatively high humidity. An hour later it was still liquid and had not cured. I set my oven to dehydrate which is a 170 degrees Fahrenheit. Once the oven warmed up, I turned the oven off and placed the still liquid mold into the oven for several hours. There it hardened up and cured nicely.

Easy to mix, captured great detail. Holds together well, was easy to cut and unmold without tearing. Love the translucency. It arrived fast and was fresh. I usually use Oomoo but I've had issues with it arriving expired, so I took a chance with this silicone and am very happy with it. Also liked that it comes in small batches.

I’ve used a few different platinum cure silicones, and this one worked just as good as the popular named brands for making a mold. I sculpt with sulfur free clay, and it cured with no issues. This silicone is pretty thin to start, so make sure you don’t have any tiny holes for it to seep out of, because it will. Because it’s so thin, the large air bubbles disappear rather quickly, though I did notice some micro bubbles in the final molds. It didn’t leave any imperfections in the mold, they were just visible. Im sure if you were less vigorous in mixing, they could be avoided. A trick I picked up along the way after a couple of molds failed to fully cure (with other brands) was to add a little dye to one of the parts before mixing. That way you can see when they are fully mixed. I would also recommend after pouring this and the silicone starts to set, leave it for a day at least. Don’t be tempted to Demold too quickly. That is the difference I have noticed with this brand and other less popular brands is that they tend to cure from the outside in and can seem fully cured to the initial touch but still be tacky against the clay I am molding. I let it cure for 48 hours (to be safe) and it demolds nicely and isn’t tacky. Hope this helps.

These are so easy to use and would buy them again over others that I have tried

I got this a number of years back. My first set of projects ended up having a tacky finish. They worked fine but i wasn't loving the stickiness so I covered the top with acetate to protect my surfaces. I moved house, and wanted to use the last of the silicone before it hardened. I used a more accurate balance. After demolding my pieces there was no tackiness. My new home gets hot upstairs where I store my craft supplies. I decided to check the pieces that I had made before and there was no tackiness. The take home message for me is: 1. Use an accurate balance. 2. Heat helps set finished pieces.

It is a good way of making simple moulds. The mixture sets overnight at room temperature and the moulds don't need to be especially thick-walled. The moulds set almost transparent. It might be helpful to add some colouring material to one of the components so that you can see when the mixture is uniformly mixed but I haven't tried that yet. I might experiment with something like a drop of cake icing colouring.
