I use this on my Zoom H6 with with the omni directional mic and it fits perfectly. The deadcat does a good job in the wind and the foam cover is good enough to deaden the plosives. It does take a little bit of effort to get the foam on but the fit is perfect and I don't feel like it will ever fall off.

I live in Denver, Colorado and the wind can get really crazy here sometimes. Using my Zoom H6 field recorder to capture my music project outdoors can be difficult with so much wind. And though you can’t block ALL the wind ALL the time, my gain knob set at 5-6 in pretty heavy wind conditions was useable for my situation. I’ve seen some complaints that the deadcat cover itself goes over the gain knob (at least on the Zoom H6), it is very delicate and does not move the gain up or down when adjusting. Huge plus for me! If I didn’t have the dead cat screen, recordings would not be possible. I’m sure there are fancier products out there and can’t knock them but for under $15 I can keep the job going without having to retreat inside. Highly recommend on a budget and for ease of use!

Fits the Zoom H5 and XY capsule. The dead cat is great. The foam is fine; it still is a bit deformed from the package even after opening it 2+ months ago.

I wouldn't use my H6 without this. There's practically no unwanted wind noise and for outdoor field recording you can't ask for more. I think this hood even reduces the rubbing sound from handling while recording a bit.

Not too expensive and look and feel like the standard screens for the xy mic. Haven’t used much yet, but look right, for right, and work

I was taking an intro sound design class that required us to use Zoom mics and I got tired of all the wind sounds on my recordings whenever I had to record something outside. This fixed my problem immediately. I am very much a beginner when it comes to anything relating to recording and sound, so I cannot speak at all to how well these work in terms of professional sound quality, but they worked great for my purposes.
