I have a Maltese dog that is a toy dog who is 9 1/2 years old and even though he has gotten a little bigger (11 lbs) I give him a 1/2 pill every day. The directions are 1/2-1 pill/day for under 10 lbs but I started him at 1/2 pill per day and it has helped him so much that I have kept him on that dose A bottle of 132 pills will last me almost 9 months and it is very economical as well as an effective product. Within the first week, I noticed that my dog was walking easier for short periods of our walk. His stiffness in his hips had gotten so bad that he had started walking with both of his back feet like a bunny hop. My dog also had pain in his shoulders and had enormous trouble jumping on the sofa or climbing stairs. And he was constantly stretching his back legs out due to stiffness. The results got better with every week and the 2nd month was when the results became most noticeable. My dog Beau started going on longer walks again and he started walking properly again and he started jumping on the sofa again. It has now been 3 months since my dog started taking this wonderful product and he is back to his younger self. He has so much energy again, he is running around the house and outside, he has no trouble jumping on furniture and he is so happy. This stuff is truly amazing and I will continue to buy it as long as I can find it because I got my happy little dog back.

I believe this really works for my dogs. One is 11 now and has been taking this for a while. I believe this is my third bottle. My 3 year old also takes it per his vet. He had an injury to his knee. It's made a big difference in mobility for them both. I will definitely continue to buy it.

Good product and better price when used Auto Ship

I recently took my 14-year-old cat to the vet, and was asked directly if I was sure that she was that old - I was there the day she was born, I am positive of her age. If that isn't the biggest compliment a pet owner can get, I don't know what is! And I give a big chunk of that credit to Cosequin. My younger cat is 9 and still zooms around and parkours like she did as a kitten. Both of them eat it without complaint, I just sprinkle it on top of a small spoonful of wet food. The older cat will eat the capsule directly so apparently it tastes pretty good, but the younger cat doesn't seem to be a fan of the powder texture and will only eat it if it's on wet food or thoroughly mixed in with her kibble so every piece is coated (and any residue left behind is licked clean by the older cat). I had a foster cat I was giving it to who had the same stipulations, either on wet food or shaken around to coat the kibble. My two split one capsule, once a day. My last dog and my horse both got their respective versions of Cosequin as well. The dog could jump a 3 foot fence and the horse was kept serviceably sound until they passed, at just shy of 14 and 25 years of age. I myself take the human version and can absolutely feel the difference in mobility and comfort - I have arthritis in my hips and have had knee surgery, to say that I deal with chronic pain would be an understatement. I recommend it to literally everyone, for their pets and themselves.

Since my chihuahua cannot tell me how she feels, I have to watch her move and she seems to be better when she takes the Cosequin. She is 14 and has had two knee surgeries so arthritis is almost definitely an issue. She eats the contents of the capsul on her food without any problem and she is rather picky. I have been using this product for a number of years.

Great for my small dog. I use the large one for for larger dog.

The vet put my dog on this a few years ago and it’s made all the difference! Within a week his sore leg was all better.
