I considered returning it and thought I might use it under my legs to shift my position when traveling as a passenger long distances. This is not the best option if you are looking for anything such as a pillow or soft support. I used this to assist in correcting my posture. I strapped it to chairs and used it on my lower back. Strap was not long enough to use in the car, but I just positioned it before I drove and it stayed put fine and was comfortable. The foam seemed to break down and after 6 months I had to wrap a towel around it to "get it back" to its former glory. I am not a big guy but did use the roll 2 hours everyday for 6 months, and it will not hold its shape or support my back anymore.
