2-Lt. Linear Fluorescent Bath

FYI - our electrician failed to note that this fixture does not require a box to be installed in the wall. He installed one above each lavatory, so we had to have the boxes removed and the wall repaired. Otherwise, the boxes would have been visible.We really like the sleek look rather than the individual bulb lights with globes usually available in the the big box hardware stores. The fixtures puts out a lot of light. The T-8 florescent bulbs are energy efficient and should last a long time.

As a Journeymen Electrician I've worked on plenty of light fixtures and by all means this particular light fixture is in my opinion a piece of junk. My justification in saying this is due to the fact that when I installed the fixture I immediately had problems. When I received the first box with the new light fixture it was poorly package to the point that the diffuser (plastic cover) was damage beyond usefulness. I returned it back and received another one...the same type, which had malfunctioning electronic ballast that is manufactured in China. The electronic ballast is so cheaply made that the back cover plate came off. When I repaired the back cover plate and wired it up for service it only worked well for a couple of hours. I knew the ballast was the culprit so I purchased a new one. Please note the new electronic ballast cost as much as the light fixture itself. Trust me... DO NOT buy this type of light fixture!

Easy to install. Gives a lot of light.
