I prefer to wear it straight however for personal style preference on me but also because it tangles less than when wearing it curly. I almost gave this brush 4 stars simply for the reason that in the product description it mentioned that this brush detangles hair well. That unfortunately was not the case for me. The "ouchless Goody" brushes work best for me as far as getting untangled, without causing lots of breakage. But, due to the very curly nature and texture of my hair - I suspect that this brush would detangle very well for most people.So, I gave this Body Essentials brush 5 stars anyway because it does feel amazing on the scalp, definitely does relieve tension in the scalp and in turn improves circulation making your hair much healthier, fuller over time and shinier. Sometimes brushes that have the vibrating feature can be a bit too powerful (or too weak to do any good) but this brush, for me at least, is right in that happy medium zone. As stated in the description, it uses 2 AA batteries and the batteries seem to last a long time in this brush, even with a good deal of usage. The "light therapy" feature really does add value and enjoyment to this brush and the comforting warmth from the lights simply makes the vibration that much more relaxing and effective for hair growth and health. Another thing I love about what Body Essentials did with this brush is: They put the 2 control buttons separately on the back so that you can turn on or off the vibration or red lights or both for use as a normal brush, so you can customize it for your needs each time. After only a short while of using this brush, I do notice my hair being a bit more shiny (healthier) in appearance and we ladies (and men!) can always appreciate that, right? So... I believe you would really enjoy this brush for many different benefits. I sincerely hope this review helps you! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for what it is *by T***N on October 14, 2013* I love this brush...there is no miracle for restoring any hair loss except hair solution centers maybe (or straight up rogaine if your issue is DHT related) however for a person with scalp issues (eczema, etc), it works wonders for me. I have a very dry scalp with poor circulation (usually blocked by the buildup of dry skin) that gets worse in the winter. Not only does it help to stimulate my scalp to exfoliate better (no dandruff issues with it) it really helps the skin on my scalp to feel energized. Whether it's just a feeling or not, I like it. I've had it over for a year now so it lasts the duration. I have a laser light comb and it's just as good where I'm concerned. Each person will have a different experience as their reasons for buying it will differ. I think if you are looking to improve your scalp, it's a good brush. The only reason it gets 4 stars is b/c i feel it's overpriced for what it is as well..i think 29.99 would be a bit more fair. It's well made but 40 bucks is a bit much in my opinion. FYI : keep the brush clean b/c if you do have scalp issues, build up will occur fast on any brush. If you have dandruff b/c of fungus, again clean it well or it defeats the purpose. ### ⭐ Wanted to love this *by L***� on December 26, 2015* This product was a huge disappointment! I ordered it to support hair growth and scalp massage, I was very excited to receive it. When it arrived the light did not work and the vibration worked fine. I returned it for a model where both worked I received a second model of the brush and it did not work at all!!
