Something spilled on ours and we're debating whether to wash and reuse or toss.** A: Yes, wash with dish soap using soft cloth and rinse in cold water, they can be cleaned snd reused. Do Not put in dishwasher. **Q: Are these ice packs suitable for keeping expressed breastmilk cold?** A: Yes, they will keep breast milk cold . You don't want the ice packs directly on the milk because it could freeze the milk. **Q: Im reading the newer packs are a different size / plastic thickness from original ones. Is this true?** A: These ice packs are most definitely different from the previous style of Koolit gel packs. As a buyer of both the old and new version, including from this particular seller, I can tell you the this style of ice pack does not have a gel filling like the previous version. It is more the consistence of a kitchen sponge, and freezes like a perfectly flat brick.. For instance you cannot mold it into a particular shape prior to freezing. So if you want to be able to freeze it into a shape that will curve comfortably around a leg or arm, etc, this will not work for you.
