Product Description Water-based Acrylicos Vallejo Model Colors were developed specifically for brush application, and provide uniform coverage even on difficult-to-cover surfaces, such as metal and plastic. Model Color dries to a durable, waterproof matte finish, with little trace of brush strokes. Non-toxic and odor-free . . . cleans up easily with water. Sets include 17 ml (approx. half-ounce) squeeze bottles with removable dropper-style tips that allow brush dipping or drop-by-drop dispensing. See below for set contents. From the Manufacturer Acrylicos Vallejo The Vallejo company was registered in New Jersey, U.S.A., in the year 1965. In these early years it specialized in the manufacture of colors for animated films (cartoons). **Q: what are the colors?**
A: Can we get the color numbers so that I can match them up with Revell and Tamiya equivalents?

**Q: Will this paint work for air brushing?**
A: Absolutely. I thin these with Tamiya X-20 thinner that previously had 10% retarder added to it. I thin at approx 2:1 and spray at around 15psi - I mostly use my Badger 105, Eclipse or Tamiya SF and haven't had any issue with them. You can  thin these with any of the following: water, IPA, lacquer thinner or Tamiya but whilst water is best for brushing, it doesn't flow as well as the Tamiya. The lacquer thinners cause these to dry a bit to quick for my taste. Previous posters mention Vallejo's already thinned paint range for airbrushing called 'Model Air'. Be advised though that you are paying the same price for pre thinned paint so it is not the most economical way to go about it (especially with larger subjects like a 1/35 Jagdtiger) and should you wish to adjust your ratio its more difficult with pre thinned.

**Q: Paint scrapes off? no matter what i put this paint on it srapes off way to easy. im trying to do plastic models and such but it dosent work.**
A: Did you wash your model kit first? Models and some plastic miniatures have mold release agents on them from the manufacturing process, that slight film of release agent can prevent paint from sticking. Just a quick wash in the sink with a small amount of dishwash soap will help.

**Q: Are all the colors "flat" or just the ones that say "flat" in the name?**
A: All colors are flat finish.

Drying time is slightly longer than generic paints, but well worth the wait! Colors are rich and vibrant! Paints flow smoothly and mix together well. I use these for all sorts of miniatures. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Great Starter Set

This set has been my go to set for painting over the past two months. If you're looking for a solid core set of colors, then this one is a strong option. You get your basic primary and secondary colors, black and white, flesh, and a few metallic colors. Using the paint straight out of the bottle with a brush gives you excellent coverage. It leaves no brush strokes and levels out smoothly and evenly on most surfaces I've painted. Thinning it with water for washing is straightforward. I've found that a 4:1 ratio of water to paint is a good starting point.Using a good acrylic thinner for airbrushing is easy enough. Depending on which brand of thinner you prefer, I would try a 1:1 or 2:1 thinner to paint mix. Given how thick the paint is, just remember a little goes a long way with these colors. Given the slightly higher price point of these paints, it's also nice to know that they are fairly forgiving if you mess up. Just get some rubbing alcohol and you can wipe most of the paint off with a paper towel or a rag. Side note: my set was purchased from Langton Distribution which, according to the return address, is located in the UK. The listed 3-5 week delivery time turned out to be an overestimation. I received my set about 2 weeks after the shipping confirmation email in the Chicago area.
