They contain no artificial sweeteners, and are packed with 9g of protein per serving. Smoked sausage or meat stick. Whatever you call it, it's delicious. High in Protein, low carb and keto-friendly, Tillamook Country Smoker Smoked Sausages are a great snack anytime, whether you are at work or play. A great way to snack between meals. Tillamook is a six-year-old company based in Bay City. Art Crossley started making our perfectly smoked meats at his family butcher shop in the early '70s. As word spread, so did the Tillamook distribution. We now enjoy nationwide sales and are growing more each day.

I'd rank these in the top 3 for taste of smoked sausages in this style (out of dozens I have tried). I really like the flavor. The smoke isn't overpowering, and the spice is light and just right so that you can really taste the meat. A lot of jerkies and sausages will mask the flavor of the meat with fillers, sugar etc. Recommended to eat within 3 days (usually happens), or you can refrigerate after to keep more fresh, although I think you could leave out for a week or two in the sealed bag if needed, I never had a problem. Definitely buying more. I just wish they were cheaper, but these are standard price for meat sticks, so I cannot take off any points for that. Super recommended!

**Q: Are these Nitrate free?**
A: They are not. They contain celery powder, which is known to carry very high amounts of nitrates naturally. Just a little marketing trick.

**Q: why are these so cheap? The Tillamook Smoker website sells this item for 10 $ more than listed here. Are these authentic?**
A: They may be authentic but check out the expiration dates. Amazon is selling things that are so close to expiration now it is like a whole different shopping experience. The Starbucks coffee i used to buy about a year ago was super fresh. Now most of the expiration dates are about one to two months away. Actually they are best buy dates, but still... Somthing is happening to Amazon and it is not a positive thing.

**Q: How do these taste compared to Dukes?**
A: Dry and hard!!! These have MUCH less fat than the Duke's sausages, which makes them drier, harder, and taste worse! Too bad Duke's have sugar..

**Q: How much sugar is in these "Flavorings" that every company uses to hide sugar....**
A: It lists ingredients.. Tillamook is the closest to old school home smoked I’ve found. These keto ones have no sugar or artificial sweeteners with a still delicious flavor.
