## Overview

The 1/8" Inch 3.3 mm DiamondSure Diamond Drill Bit is engineered for precision drilling in glass, tile, granite, ceramic, porcelain, and stone. With electroplate bonded diamonds for extended life, nickel plating to reduce friction, and innovative lubrication and core extraction features, this drill bit is your go-to tool for flawless results.

## Description

Designed for use by D-I-Yers, contractors and hobbyists on very hard or fragile materials such as porcelain tile, ceramic tile, stone, ceramics and glass. Diamond Core Drill Bits are premium specialty drill bits designed for drilling in hard abrasive non-ferrous materials. The electroplate bonded diamond drill bits have a superior design developed through extensive testing. Water is required for lubrication when drilling. Designed for drilling to depths of about ½”. (Not for use on metals, concrete, masonry, or with impact hammer drills). The patented DiamondSure bonded diamond drill bit fills a major gap in the current retail drill bit product lines. They are designed to be an inexpensive solution to cleanly and quickly drill in hard and fragile materials where no carbide or other retail drill bit is able.

## Features

- Electroplate bonded diamonds for optimum diamond life for drilling to depths of about 1/2".
- Nickel Plated: Reduces bit friction and heat build-up and inhibits rust.
- Tip Lubrication Hole: Provides optimum tip lubrication by allowing water flow in and out of bit.
- Core Extraction Hole: Special holes in back of the "Bell" allow easy removal of cores or plugs.
- Not designed for use on concrete, masonry, metal or for use with impact hammer drills.

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    Great if you're careful

*by R***N on Reviewed in the United States on June 4, 2021*

After reading so many reviews that either love this drill bit or hate it hard, I've got to add my two cents. I'm no pro, but it drilled 4 holes through 1/2-inch porcelain for me and still looks like new. I think this is a tool you have to be careful to use correctly. Recommended speed for porcelain is 500 RPM. That's one-third of the maximum speed of your drill, maybe less. Recommended pressure is light. Although you will be tempted to push like mad, it may break the bit. Recommended water lubrication is frequent, like every 30 seconds or so. Following these recommendations, I found that my drill bit didn't even heat up, and it performed flawlessly. Hope that helps.

    Does NOT hold up!

The bit broke right away, I even brought 2 to make sure I could get the hole drilled and both broke even before one hole was drilled. Don't waste your money!

My wife makes glass wind chimes this has been the best hole drill bit we have found and last the longest, it is used with a low-speed drill press and water bath to keep the bit cool
