I ran out of time and got these. I'm glad I did. They would be difficult to improve upon. I used red thread locker on the single bolt joining the bracket and panel frame. I used Eternabond rubber roof repair between the brackets and the 1/8" plywood roof to cushion the contact and "level" the joint. I used plenty of Sika Sikaflex 221 on the non-sticky side of the Eternabond and the bracket and over the screws. The screws come with a silicon gasket, so the Sikaflex is just insurance. To be sure the screws got a good bite in the 1/8" plywood, I pre-drilled holes rather than trust the self-tapping screw end.
