Works perfectly with Browning Buckmark Hunter .22 pistol and ACCURATE!
In case some of you are wondering whether the eye relief and rings it comes with, work well with a browning buckmark hunter (even though it says "rifle" on the box) IT DOES, and it does it quite well. You can put it pretty close to your eye or really far away and still get a good site picture. It only took 9 shots for me to zero this, and my wife, who has only shot 2 times IN HER LIFE, was putting nickel to quarter sized groups in at 25yds (I was blown away and she now loves shooting so yay for both of us on that front) We got to where we could literally tear out a single quarter sized hole on the target at 25yrds. I haven't gotten to shoot it at longer distances yet, but I zeroed it at 1 inch below dead center at 25yds, in hopes of it shooting somewhat dead center at 50yds, will have to try that soon and decide exactly where to zero it because I'm not super familiar with trajectory of a .22 round, I assume it's somewhat flattish out to X yds though? (chime in if you are and have a suggestion please) The rings that come out of the box work just fine and were of reasonable quality with a grippy strip inside them to help the scope stay put. Very impressed with this scope, it is not too large or too small, I'm glad I didn't go with the smaller size 2x (by a more famous brand) like I was considering. Completely surprised at the accuracy of a shorty barrel gun sitting on top of a single weight bag, barrel was supported, but grip was only supported by our left hand just sitting underneath it for added stability. This scope kind of makes me think this pistol could be good for much longer ranges it was so accurate, and if so, I may have to upgrade to a smallish 3-9 variable because I imagine hitting a small target at 50+ yards may be hard to see with a 2.5x scope, but not quite sure yet, as I have yet to try it at longer ranges. Good luck and happy shooting, my wife has been converted to a "shooter" now because of this scope! She said "Wow, this is FUN, I never thought I could get into this, but this is really really fun!" I think I may have shed a single tear... ;) A note to Adorama on shipping: When shipping a scope, please put it in an additional box instead of a plastic/foam blend 'paper wrap' material all alone. I was shocked this did not arrive damaged or with internals broken. The scope had it's little factory box only and then wrapped in this paper thin shipping pouch material, pretty surprised it wasn't DOA. Other than that, fast shipping etc. Thanks.

Good option at low cost
Uniquely designed to work as an IER setup such as on a military rifle where you have to get forward of the safety lever but not so for forward that you can't mount to the receiver. Not really a great pistol scope due to the eye relief.

Great scope for price, good scope for starters
The glass is surprisingly clear. Reticle is fine, but visible. Eye relief as advertised. No blemishes or debris inside scope. Rings provided seem poor, plan on replacing. No complaints as the overall package for this price is impressive. Have not shot with it yet, so no comments on performance at this time, but first impressions leave me very optimistic. **update 12/4/20** Have since shot approximately 300 rounds, a mix of 55 gr xm193 and 55 gr 223. Used with Vortex Scope rings, mounted on a Ruger Mini 14. No diviation from zero. Adjustments mushy, but accurate. Rifle fell over, causing a small dent in the hood over front lense, but no issues caused to glass or reticle. All in all, is it an amazing scope? Not necessarily, but for the price point, it has clear glass, decent reticle, although very fine, and, most importantly, retains zero. Great starter scope, but ultimately will be replaced with a more hardened scope.

Works well on Rossi carbine
I received and mounted the 2.5x30 scope today. I mounted it on a Rossi model R92 .357 lever action that has a rail milled into the receiver. I needed a long eye relief scope because it is a top eject action. It looks good to me on the carbine (see photos). The length of the scope is 8 5/8 inches. The eye relief as mounted is 9โ, and it has a clear sight picture. Just playing with it, it looks like you can extend eye relief to about 14 inches before the sides start to darken. Iโve not shot it yet so I canโt comment on how it holds accuracy. But I like it so far. Iโll update after Iโve shot it. For $39 it looks like a great value. Better than that, I had trouble finding a scope with a 9-10 inch eye relief. Iโm 6โ5โ so the eye relief is much too short for me to mount on a pistol or revolver. I first mounted a vortex crossfire 2x20 EER V-PLEX on this rifle, but it had too long of an eye relief. I also mounted a Burris Fastfire 3 and a red dot on it, but didnโt like how the point of aim shifted depending on your cheek weld. This scope shoulders well on this specific mount using leupold medium base 1โ rings. I did not try the rings that came with the scope after reading other reviews that said they were poor quality. The scope has a nice matte finish. I own scopes on the low end of price like like this one up to Zeiss and Swarovski, with Leupold Var x3s being on most of my rifles. So I am an experienced scope user. If it shoots and holds up, Iโll be very pleased with the purchase. It comes with elastic string see-thru lens covers. If it shoots ok, Iโll invest in some Butler creek scope covers.

pleasently surprised !
This scope is amazing. I own the following pistol scopes... 2 @ Leupold M8-2x20, 1@ Simmons 2x20, 1@ BSA Edge2x20 and 1@ Ncstar 2.5x30. The Ncstar is as clear or clearer than any I own. I can see my target better and have better performance. The Ncstar is on a Ruger MKII, bull barrel 22lr. I don't know how it would deal with heavy recoil, but on my 22 it is better than the rest ! I plan to buy at least 2 more and try one on my 357 where the Leupold presently lives. This is an awesome scope, I'm glad I tried it...a real bargain at it's price point and great quality !

thrifty scope for M91/30 or M44
I put this on my "Darrel's scope mount" for my M91/30 rifle. The mount was rock solid so the scope would have no excuse if it did not perform. It held zero and the windage and zero adjustments worked as they should. The eye relief was perfect for the rifle, giving a good sight picture. It comes with a set of rings for the picatinny rail of my mount and they worked and held tight. My only complaint is that the scope sits a tad high for great cheek placement on the stock...but that is not the fault of the scope. It continues to hold zero and gives a good visual for 100 yards which I shoot. I plan on buying another for my M44. Molon Labe!

It's ok
I mounted mine on a Mosin Nagant with a shortened barrel expecting to last one target shooting session. It's been around 300 rounds later (that's a bit on a Mosin) and it's still holding well. Not the clearest or most accurate scope, but at this price point, it's not expected to be. Good for plinking, for serious shooting Save your pennies and by a serious optic.

Good for a scout Mosin build
I purchased this as the cheapest acceptable option for a scout Mosin build. The quality was better than I expected, although the crosshair etching is slightly uneven on the lower end of the reticle. You can see some workmanship issues but the glass was clear and bright, and the eye relief was perfect for the Mosin and very forgiving of variations in distance. If I could give it 3.5 stars I would, but that's not an option and I just can't quite bring myself to say it's a 4 star product. It's an appropriately cheap, beater scope to put on my cheap, beater rifle, and I would buy again for this purpose. Update: now lives on a Marlin 336 scout mount. It's perfect in terms of size, weight, and overall fit. Ideal pairing if it stands the test of time. I am still surprised at the clarity and brightness of the glass for the cost.
