EOFEEL Montessori Materials Baby Interlocking Discs for Kids

I’ve watched many many Montessori YouTube videos and they all recommend this toy because of how “interesting” it is when it rolls and that it encourages baby to crawl/creep. It’s visually pleasing in our play room but I was not impressed, there was a sharp piece of splintered wood sticking out from it that I had to pull off and the clear coating over the wood is missing in some parts. My son doesn’t play with it, at 6 months old he was throwing his toys pretty far, creeping to it and throwing again all around our house so really this wood toy isn’t necessary for motivating them to crawl if that’s why you’re purchasing it.

I ordered this toy because something similar came in a Lovevery box for 6 month olds. It’s supposed to foster using two hands to pick up items and pass it successfully from hand to hand. My son wasn’t that interested in this. I believe that’s due to its lackluster design. It’s for babies but doesn’t capture their attention especially when trying to develop a new skill. He began to pass his pacifier from hand to hand then used this toy more frequently as a hammer.

Disappointed these have a varnish on them and they are meant to be held by little ones. I returned because I don’t want my little putting it in their mouth.

My 3yr old son doesn't enjoy this that much.

Very smooth, works well as a teething and tactile toy. It’s not my baby’s favorite, and I think she would be drawn more to it if it had some color contrast.
