Happy except for small straw opening
I ordered this pack of cups because I had one very similar to these that I loved. Unfortunately, it was used and abused, and eventually broke. These are nice and clear, the straw has a nobby to hold it in the cup. Overall, good cups for price. Two things made me give it only 3 stars-- #1--The opening for the straw is quite small. Only normal size (skinny) straws will fit in it. I was hoping to use it with some cool colored Aladdin brand straws I had for my old cup. The do not fit in it. #2--Twice in the first day I accidentally tipped my cup over. Both times the lid came off. It is possible (though not likely) that I simply failed to screw the lid on tight, but I don't think so. The lid seems to be on tight when I screw it on, but it seems to be something with the force of the liquid plus the impact of hitting the lid on the counter that caused the lid to pop off. I have since been more careful about not tipping over my cup, and have not had further problems.

These cups can potentially save you TONS of money, especially in the summer
I like to grab fast food once in a while for lunch and since food is usually cheap but add-ons like sides and drinks are usually costly, I find myself spending more on drinks to go with my lunch than I should. These reusable straw cups offer a simple solution. I just fill one of these cups half with ice and half with soda and I go to the drive-thru to get my food. I usually have to eat outside anyways because of my dog or busy schedule so I have no need to eat inside the restaurant. These cups are also great for going out and running errands. They're durable, double-walled to chill drinks longer, and come with a straw that won't slip out of the cup (it has a bulbous end that prevents it from coming out of the lid's straw hole). The lid screws off the cup and there's even a rubber seal on the lid to prevent spills. This is great in the car because if it for some reason falls out of your cupholder or out of your hand, you won't spill much, if any at all. There are countless uses for these cups, all of which will probably save you money compared to buying cold drinks at convenience stores or gas stations. The 16oz size is perfect for ice and contents of a 12oz alumnium can of soda. This size limits the amount of sugar intake, which I'm careful about. These are also BPA free so you don't feel guilty about putting nasty chemicals in your body. The bottom of the cups, however, have annoying adhesive UPC stickers. The stickers come off but it leaves a sticky residue that you have to scrub off. Other than that, these are great cups that reduce paper/plastic waste and increase your savings.

Decent cups for kids, not the most durable though
I used these cups for my kids - graduating from sippy cups. These are not leak proof, but will help you avoid major disasters. There is a small gap between the straw and the hole where the straw enters the lid. Some liquid will come out of this gap, and from the straw itself. But it's better than having a whole cup of juice on your couch. This is my second set. They are not the most durable of cups. We dropped one outside on the concrete, and the lid shattered and the cup cracked. Still, I like these cups and there, so far, are no other better alternatives. Also...cold liquids only (it says on the box). You can feel the coldness of drinks when holding the cup, so I can only imagine that you could burn your hands if holding the cup filled with hot liquid.

Very poor quality and durability
********** Edit: 2013-OCT-01 After just a few weeks of use these cups they broke. A drop from just a few feet onto a hard surface will pretty much ruin these cups - the inner lining separates from the outer sleeve and when that happens you pretty much lose any insulating potential and they also take on water when washing. Additionally, after the first one broke I ordered another set of two and those two were slightly different (smooth, non-ribbed texture) and seemed to be of even lesser quality. Not only were they prone to breaking after short drops, but the lids were pretty much impossible to get screwed on firmly. I'm not sure how to explain it, but the lids would just pop off even after screwing them on as far as they can go. Not recommended. Reduced my rating from 5 stars to two. ********** I like these cups for things like iced coffee or tea on the go. Pros: They don't sweat, even on the hottest most humid summer days. These cups are listed as 16oz in the description as well as on the bottom of the cup itself, but are actually closer to 20oz capacity - I think it measured at 19oz. This is a big plus for me because I was actually searching for a 20-ounce cup similar to these but could only find 16 or 24 ounce versions. The 20 oz size provides enough room for ice while still giving you 16 ounces of beverage. The size of the cup is pretty standard and fits well into just about any cupholder. Not leak proof because of the straw hole, but very much "leak resistant". Even if this cup falls onto its side it's not going to leak that much if you upright it in a few seconds. The straws have little donuts on them that prevent the straw from coming free from the lid. Lids seal tightly. Keeps things cold. Cons: Not going to keep beverages as cold for as long as something like a Thermos, but what do you expect? Bottom line: Recommended if you're looking to take some cold beverages with you on the go.
