Tons of fun for spunky kitties!
My spunky kitty loves this toy! We got it today and set it up for her and she plays with it whether it’s on or off! Can’t speak as to durability yet but it seems to be holding up to our little monster so far. I can imagine though that this might not be the best toy for timid cats or clawed cats. The motor makes a fair amount of noise, so shy cats may be a bit scared of it and take some time to investigate it. And my declawed kitty had no trouble grabbing and holding onto the toy with her paws when it came out. A clawed cat could do it even easier and it could burn the motor up.

I like to leave good reviews
Pros: My cats love it! The "whack a mole" type toy really catches & keeps their attention & love the automatic turn off after 15 minutes. There's an option to turn off the chirp sound & cats like it but the sound could get annoying for a human. There are a total of 3 toys that came with mine, 2 feather toys & one mouse toy. The mouse toy is pretty durable. They have been playing with it for about a week now & just stating this to say that its still using the first batteries I supplied. Cons: A few rubber feet came off in no time & had to remove the remaining rubber feet to keep cats from chewing/eating them. Feather toy lasted like 2 days - so glad it came with replacements! One cat figured out that she can just stick her whole paw in one hole to catch it. Suggest that the holes be smaller. It would be nice if there were multiple speed choices - my cats are very quick but there could be other cats who may need a slower speed as well. In my opinion, its a little pricey & uses 4 C batteries - would be cool to have a USB charging option. Overall I'm glad I made the purchase & hope this review can help someone with their purchase & at the same time make the toy even better!

Only on 15 min. Loud.
Noisy. Cat doesn't like noise of it. Goes for 15 minutes then off. Was hoping he could play with it at night or when I'm gone but you have to turn it on every 15 min and its to loud. Needs motion sensor to keep it on. Great idea. UPDATE: Jan 2021 after 3 weeks. Needs to have motion sensor so it turns on when cat walks by, my cat has dragged it across the floor because his nail catches the mouse. Needs a rubber/nonslip bottom. This was on carpet on hardwood or vinyl floor I bet it moves all over the place with the cat "catching" his prey. The feathers come out easy and Iv'e had to pull them out of y cats mouth. I hot clued them in better. I do like it, it keeps his attention but I have to be there to turn it on, during the day/night it would be nice if he could play with it on his own.

Of all the toys I have bought, my cats love this one the best
Lower ratings for durability. It is not a 'forever' toy. It has plastic moving parts, which eventually wear to the point it doesn't work perfectly. That said, the first one I bought lasted about 4 years, with probably 4-6 'uses' per week. Poking their paws inside eventually wears on the 'joint' system that moves the toys around. I guess if they were metal, they would last longer, at a much larger cost. In the end, no complaints. I just bought another one. The first still 'revolves', but the mouse doesn't always stick through the holes. Maybe 20% of the time. Really, the cats don't care that much. They still keep trying to catch it. One note: The feather toy doesn't last very long. It has only been a week or two, and there are only a couple of feathers left. My cats are pretty good killers. The mouse toy lasts much longer. They can't get their teeth on it. Recommended.

Had to break the item just to open the battery compartment.
I received this item, right on time and was excited to watch my kitty play with it. I opened the box, and pulled it out, then started attempting to remove the screw on the battery compartment cover. I tried and tried but could not turn the screw out. I even used vice grips on the screwdriver for more leverage and still couldn't get it out. My husband then took it to the garage and started trying different things to get it open. He finally got it to turn out (a little bit) using his drill driver, but three hours after opening the package we still could only get the screw out far enough to lift the panel up, but not enough to get it out. Finally. he got his needle-now pliers and just pried to screw and panel off the bottom of the toy. Then we saw what the culprit was. There was actually plastic fused into the screw. They melted to screw right into the plastic and it would not come out without breaking it. He then used his pliers to break the screw tab off and we just used duct tape to hold it shut after putting the batteries in. Also, the mechanism hangs up inside so that it only pops out of one of the openings about half the time. Definitely not worth $20.

Cats love it, I hate it
It is SO loud. I was really hoping that it would be quiet enough to have on while I try working and would distract the cats. It's mechanism is so loud that I cannot focus. Much like the other reviews on the product, the feathers do not last. My one cat who licks everything managed to pull a feather out within the first couple of minutes. In fact, I think I just watched one of the feathers get taken off purely from pushing out of the hole. Now that it's missing so many feathers, it's having trouble popping out. Mouse attachment doesn't work either. My cats find it intriguing, but I really find it annoying. Overall: incredibly annoying toy, really wish I could return this because it is.... awful.
