It definitely increases libido and sensitivity in that area and does so consistently over time, which is impressive. Early on I also felt a better sense of energy & playfulness that I would associate with higher testosterone. However after 9 months of taking this I had my testosterone checked and it came back quite low. So low that TRT was offered. I don't think this did anything to make it low, but it clearly wasn't helping either. I was shocked considering I'm normal weight, exercise regularly, and eat a healthy diet, but energy wasn't great and headaches were a big problem so clearly something wasn't right. I stopped taking this at that point and began doing a lot of research on how to increase T, and trying things out. I began supplementing and balancing my intake of minerals. Magnesium and zinc are particularly helpful for T, but you need to balance them with the other minerals. In addition to that I got rid of endocrine disruptors like parabens, aluminum, and flouride from personal products (Brickell makes great products without these) and I now store things in glass or metal instead of plastic. I also started donating blood regularly to get my iron down. Men accumulate a lot of iron over time and it interferes with T production, even if the level is “normal” by medical standards (source: P.D. Mangan). Getting rid of that seemed to make a big difference for me. Finally beet juice and icing the boys/cold showers have a really similar effect for me to the tongkat and it's a lot cheaper. After doing these things for 3 months I had T checked again and it had almost doubled to well within normal range. Energy and stuff has been much better. I no longer need the Tongkat - in fact I can't take it in combination with the above stuff, can't even sleep at night the effect is so strong. Although I think the marketing about enhancing testosterone with this product is overblown, I'll still give it 4 stars because it is the best herbal remedy in this category for me, and I've tried lots of them (Genius Test, Ashwagandha, D-Aspartic Acid, Fenugreek, Tribulus Terrestris, Maca, DIM, and EVL Testosterone Booster). I also tried a cheaper form that was not nearly as consistently effective.
