I will add tips below after the main review.For the product - I have purchased this brand twice. It is satisfactory . I do not think it is as good as the brand name Younique - but a very good substitute at a lesser price tag.The base/gel is thinner and doesn`t seem as "sticky" and plentiful than Younique . I think maybe another type of applicator brush may help, as this comes with an hour glass shaped brush.The fibers are plentiful. I always seem to have more fibers left in a set than gel, leaving me with a few fiber filled tubes vs gels.Tips for lessening and avoiding irritation / fiber fall out , and to get the most performance from this product -Always apply a base coat of regular mascara before using the gel. You can always use a mascara primer, then your regular mascara.Let base dry, and apply the most generous coat of gel you can from base of lashes to tips. Have fiber tube in hand to apply fibers.When you pull out wand for fibers, remove any big fuzzy clumps of fibers, push back into the fiber tube with brush.Apply fibers to middle of lash line up to tip. Do NOT apply directly to base of lashes - that's how fibers can go right into eye and may cause irritation.Let fibers "set" or "cure " in lashes for a few seconds, and then apply gel again to lashes to seal .You may continue steps as many times as you wish to desired length and thickness. I often play with mine - wriggling fibers with fiber brush onto lashes to create more thickness, adding more gel and the fibers to tips for length.May be time consuming at first, but as you use , you can get the hang of it.I always apply a good waterproof mascara over the finished lashes - as the 3D fiber mascaras are not water proof.If my gel seems to get dry, not come out of the tube very well, I place tube into mug of very hot water while I do the other stages of makeup routine.I have very thin and short lashes - with thinner tips. I had undergone chemo and lashes never the same after ever years. So I do use many coats.I would never go back to regular mascaras. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ AMAZING LOW COST FIBER LASHES! *by M***4 on Reviewed in the United States on March 23, 2016* I've purchased the Love Alpha double set I think on three occasions. I LOVE THIS STUFF! I had a friend that was promoting a more expensive brand and I found the Love Alpha brand and decided the price was worth the trial. My lashes are normally pretty thin and regular mascara helps, but this stuff is amazing. I read many, many reviews on the quality and application process of the Love Alpha fiber lashes. The best advice I could give would be to use a primer or clear gel as a primary layer (I use Avon, but I don't think it would make a difference as the idea behind the primer is to give the gel and fiber a better base). Then, apply one coat of Love Alpha gel, one coat of Love Alpha fiber - refrain from putting the fiber wand too close to the base of your lashes, this is what will irritate your eye! - and follow with a final coat of Love Alpha gel to seal the fibers in. If you are still looking to extend lashes a little more, apply the fibers twice (make sure you always use gel 1st, then fiber each application) focusing on the lash tips the second application. Always seal the fibers with a thin coat of gel! The only time I have irritation in my eyes is when I've gotten the fiber wand too close to the base of my eyes. This irritation would be an application error, not a product issue. I highly recommend the Love Alpha brand to others looking to save on beauty supplies and get beautiful eyelashes in the process! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ You need this. For real. *by F***N on Reviewed in the United States on August 25, 2017* I used to use a much pricier version of fiber lash mascara but then the manufacturer changed their formula. I was at a loss for achieving my awesome lashes so, as I usually do when I'm faced with a retail issue, I turned to Amazon. I have been using Love Alpha for two years now and I totally love it. There are two tubes- one with black gel and one with fine fibers. Application goes as such: use the gel to coat your lashes (it seems almost like normal mascara), then gently apply the fibers (you can watch the magic happen as the gel grabs the fibers and extends and thickens the lashes), the final step (and this is SO important) it so lock those little guys into place with a final coat of gel. If you skip the final step you risk having the fibers fall off of your lashes and wind up in your eyes. No bueno. It does take a few steps to apply but the look is SO worth it and the price here is AMAZING. You have to try this, it's life changing.
