Fantastic Umbrella and customer service
Our first day on Myrtle Beach with it was extremely windy in the afternoon. The pole and base with the 4 angled stacks were rock solid and very easy to set up. I have a rubber mallet with a hook on the end which makes it a breeze to hammer the stakes in and pull out. But. By late afternoon the umbrella ribs popped out of the top. A wire holds the ribs in place and it pushed out of the plastic retainer. Short time later the bottom ribs also popped out. I called Moreshade and they were extremely apologetic, sympathetic and offered to ship a new umbrella to me at Myrtle Beach. However it would have taken a few days because it was Saturday. So they explained how I could repair it with epoxy, wait 24 hours and it would never separate. So I did it and it worked. In the meantime Moreshade shipped us a whole new umbrella set to my house which was waiting for us when we got home. They explained that the original batch from about 3 years ago, which I got one of, had this defect and the new ones do not. We really like this umbrella for the beach. It was easy to set up, gives great shade and after I expoxyed it, 5 more days of heavy wind it held up when just about all of the other umbrellas on the beach had failed. Definitely worth the money and you can’t beat the customer service.

Broke after 4 uses. No customer service.
I usually don’t write reviews, but when there is a one-year warranty and phone numbers for customer service are no longer in service and website is not working properly I am less than happy. I used the umbrella 4 times and it broke with some mild wind. Very weak joint. Very bummed I really wanted to like the umbrella. Now by the looks of a company that is nonexistent I am stuck with a broke expensive umbrella. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great sun protection
Used at the beach today. Great sun protection, easy to put up, take down. We used the receiver hitch mount. Everything was very sturdy and well constructed. Really great product that will extend our time enjoying Galveston Beach.

Great product and Service.
Great product and great service from Dopesky. Had a problem with the delivery, but Dopesky was able to to get the problems taken care and was always quick to reply with my questions and concerns. I put this up in the backyard for a week just to see how it worked and it was able to take some wind and 120 degree weather. The poles do get hot when it is up all day, but what can you expect in 120 degrees. Definitely worth the price and does what is stated it will do.

Survived The Bonneville Salt Flats
Great product. I used it on the salt flats of Bonneville while filming down course at Speed Week 2016. Easy to set up, but easier with a helping hand. It took me a few times to figure out that the pull cord attached to the inside pole of the umbrella is used to hoist it up so you push a locking pin thru the pole to keep the shade up. I ordered thru some online outdoors shop, rather than from Morshade, so I only had white as the option. I will purchase a dark color for my next trip to increase the shade darkness. I only used the trailer hitch mount, and it all worked well. You do need a receiver pin, it is not supplied. So if you have not used your trailer hitch, now is the time to buy a receiver pin. The main reason I purchased this is for the portability and quick setup/takedown (a canopy is not an option when you are moving every couple hours to another filming location, and the frame poles get into your shot messing with the camera's focus on the race vehicles) Wind was not a problem, it was gusting to 25mph for a short time, and the shade was fine, but I closed the umbrella simply because of the flapping noises (disrupts the audio of the engines). It really made the whole trip possible, the salt bed is extremely bright and reflects a ton of heat, so without the Morshade I would have had to limit my exposure to the elements. Seems to me that if you want alot of shade, then you need to buy a 10x10 canopy or larger, for a couple people it shades fine.

Can't handle wind
The ad showed a man pulling with all his strength on the umbrella pole and no matter how "hard" he pulled he could not pull the umbrella out of the ground. I had 15 mph winds with gusts to 20 mph, and my umbrella pole snapped right in front of my eyes. The material is aluminum and air...??? VERY WEAK. Amazon did issue a prompt refund of which I am grateful.

It works
Love it . Another couple on the beach had one so they helped us put it up and down the first time . Really does a nice job covering a large area and does not blow over .

HEAVY, not user friendly
Bought this for our summer trips to the beach while still being able to use it on our deck... it is not as user friendly as I would hope it to have been. It does NOT have a hand crank to open and close the umbrella , you have to push or use the rope to open .... extremely heavy to do so!.... I am 5"2 and I can barely open the umbrella! One thexumbrella is open you will need to lift the umbrella even more to get the pin in and out... again NOT user friendly!! Usungibg the ratchet to use agains a tree or on the deck post... it is bulky... would not with stand a strong wind and again you need to be tall to use and to assemble! This product is made well, I really like the fabric that it is SPF 50.... but unfortunately I will need to return this product, it's just not something that I can put up and take down by myself without assistance. If it had a hand crank and a button to use to angle umbrella it would be a product I would consider again.
