This is exactly what I expected - no regrets.  It's perfect when my wife and I are relaxing in/around the pool or hot tub although volume *MUST* be at max to cover the pool area (i.e., us in the deep end, speaker in the shallow end, and it's not too loud if it's next to us); however, when the grandkids are enjoying the pool we *cannot* hear it at all, even if it's on the table next to us at max volume- but I'd rather hear them!  Rich
