We use this as a night light as he goes to sleep, it is a little bright, but the fun colors are cool. We typically only have the tower/flashlight handle portion one, not usually the base. The charge lasts a long time. We turn it on and it will stay on for about 20 or so minutes each night before we turn it off and we only charge it once every other week or so. My 3 yr old daughter wants one. I love it as is, but would love it more if you could get it to hold any color, not just go to blue if you didn't want the fade in and out of other colors. An auto shut-off would be a great option as well after 20 or 30 minutes (this may have it and I may have missed it in the documentation and use, but as we use it, it does not appear to have one). ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Great night light/flashlight/mood light combo...but a bedside reading lamp? We use the blue light. Battery lasts almost 2 nights. We added a plug for 120 VAC, but it is easily changed via the supplied USB cable, and a USB port on our laptop. We bought 4 more of these lights as gifts for our grandkids. The multi-color is OK for a night light also. And the white-light flashlight function is very bright.
