Greatly simplified charging my seadoo's
I installed these flush-mount SAE sockets in my Sea-Doo so I can charge without needing to lift open the seat--perfect when it's on the boat lift. Installation was straightforward through fiberglass, and the connectors look well-built and secure. Since mounting, I’ve been able to simply connect my charger with a quick-disconnect plug, which makes it much easier to charge the skis. The weatherproof caps do their job—no signs of moisture or corrosion even after months of exposure to Florida’s sun and humidity. The 12 AWG cable is robust and probably a bit overbuilt for this task--but happy to pay a slight premium for durability and long-term performance. Pros: Enables convenient charging without seat removal—ideal for boat lifts. Solid build quality: thick 12 AWG copper wiring and durable materials. Weather- and dust-resistant caps maintain clean and dry connections. Easy to install with included hardware, spade bit, and silicone caulk. Cons: None to date—works exactly as intended. Bottom Line: For anyone who regularly charges their Sea-Doo on a lift or dock, this sidewall SAE port is a simple upgrade that pays off in convenience and reliability. Highly recommended!

Works good
It works as intended. Tether for the cap broke after first use below 32 degrees F. Tether is a hard plastic. Not a good design.

Works well
I needed ports I could mount in the trunk of my Jeep next to the regular 12 outlet. Regular outlets vibrate loose, these connectors don't. Of course you need to convert your devices to these plugs, but that was the point of the exercise. Now I can go off road and my chargers etc. stay in place. Pretty good quality for the price. I've seen much flimsier connectors for more. Someone here complained about the connector being flexible and I consider that a bonus when you mount it into a not 100% flat surface. A little sealant, good screws (I used machine screws with nuts on the inside) make a perfect seal. Wish I had used these on my little trailer - they would have been better than what I have there.

The old SAE connector was corded and hung from the motorcycle like an awkward umbilical cord. This flush mount option is fantastic if you have the space. And you won’t need much space. I wired two motorcycles with this plug today in under an hour. Now I just plug into the port to charge the battery and since all my accessories are SAE to USB it’s as easy as plugging into the port. The port flush mounted very well with minimal cutting of the surface. The included screws are high quality. Highly recommended.

Installed easily in my boat to allow easy plug in for solar battery charger.

One thing I learned is that depending on the manufacturer the SAE plugs do not all have the positive and negative in the same spot. Be aware of this or you could have crossed polarity, they sell adaptors to fix this. But overall a good product.

Needed to rewire the sailboat on her 57th trip around the sun. Previous owner drilled through the deck sticking the wire through and didn't epoxy the penetration. Well, delamination occurred. So we fixed the problem, cored and filled the new connector location, then drilled and installed the new connectors. Went easily and now when the mast comes down at the end of the sailing season the boat's wiring is disconnected easily and the cover it comes with keeps it water tight until the mast goes back up. Great product for a simple solution.
