Lucky me...
I had the fuel pump replaced at a shop 18 months ago. The job cost A LOT but sometimes you just have to suck it up and carry on. Afterwards I could smell gas but couldn't locate anything, so I chalked it up to "I'm dreaming" The mileage went into the toilet, 10/12 MPG so I replaced the plugs with a minor improvement, but soon back to 10/12 MPG. Finally I pulled up to my house, got out to open the gate and things reeked of gas. Grabbing a flashlight I looked under the truck WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING and saw a fine mist of fuel spraying from the top of the fuel tank, where the pump is located. HOLY EXPLOSIVES !! The shop had done a piss-poor job of installing the new fuel pump, not seating it properly with the locking ring as well as cracking the plastic fuel outlet - which they hid by applying a huge gob of silicone sealant around the cracked fuel line outlet and all around the locking ring - saving them the cost of another pump and shoving that little problem out the door (shop time is money) and into my naive, unsuspecting lap. Additionally leaving me driving a fuel spraying, potential IED through city traffic, school zones, to lumber yards, past stores, through CBP/ICE checks - places that everyone drives through or to. By the Grace of God no one was harmed and I didn't detonate in town or on the road despite being a mobile Fuel/Air MOAB I had looked for a leak a number of times, crawling around under my truck with a flashlight, tracing the fuel line up to the injector system with NO SUCCESS for two reasons. #2) there is a "shroud" (?) surrounding and protecting the tank so I couldn't see any evidence of a leak. #1) I had never looked for the leak with the motor running or the key ON to power the fuel pump. I'm a carpenter. It had never even occurred to me to have the system under pressure - until I saw that spray and realized I was one lucky S.o.B. - no wonder I never hit the Powerball !! Because I hit the Life Lottery every time I started my pickup and didn't go up in a fireball like Apollo 1 BTW - Amazon had the best value for the money...

Make sure your vehicle description is correct
It was the correct product as described and worked perfectly. I was a little skeptical at first about buying something mechanical for my vehicle off of Amazon, but this part was over $100 cheaper on Amazon.

Fuel gauge float modification blotched.
2006 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 hemi. Fuel pump working great. The problem was that you have to use your old float. I had to modify the arm to make it work and now the gas gauge doesn't read right. I probably could have plugged it in and spent more time on getting a read on how my mods effected the gauge. Other than that it is working great, was cheap, and I think It might turn out to read half a tank or something at empty. More time needed. Seems like a good fuel pump though. Got my old truck on the road again. Thanks.

it was the right one for a 33 gal dodge ram 2500 tank
the pump is working and pumping, however the fuel gauge is no longer working, really sucks because i may have forgotten to cut the wire tie on the float, but thats not like me, either way i wont know till i drop the tank again and look, the easy to install is a bit misleading, once the all the lines are disconnected and the tank is lowered changing the pump is a breeze, i had to drop the tank because i have too many tool boxes on the bed

Pump works, float sending unit broke
Purchased thinking it will be a hundred thousand mile fix. Boy was I wrong. Part fits as expected, but just recently my gas gauge stopped working. Ended up running out of gas twice due to it. Did all the checks to make sure the problem wasnโt my gas gauge and in fact the issue is the float arm sending unit of the pump. I have had to drop the gas tank of my Dodge Ram twice, once to install the new one and again to diagnose it. Not happy. Description on the Amazon page stated that itโs the right part for my truck when I purchased. I went to check on that part again to possibly order another and it now says that itโs not the right part. I have emailed the company with no response. It is past the Amazon return date, but it is supposed to have a 1 year return warranty. I would not suggest buying this product. I did only because it was half the price of an OEM one. Never again.

Work great so far! Guage works too!
Work's in my 05 ram 1500 perfect! Don't get me wrong this is a very hard job to do if your doing it by yourself and have agonist a full tank of fuel. I matched the part up with the old one out of the tank. Very similar to the OEM. If you treat it very delicately as I did. The sending unit will work fine. My gas guage works with this pump! Great value here. I just hope it lasts even half as long as the original. I have 138k miles on my truck and the original pump. For you dyi friends. Here are some pictures how I did mine. I pulled out the 6 bed bolts and pulled the wiring harness out of the bed. I then ttipped the bed up so that the wheel well was about 6ft high. I placed a Jack stand between the frame and the bed to support the bed. It gave me just enough room to use a punch to rotate the ring and pull the pump straight up and out of the tank. This pump came will a new pump gasket. But I also replaced the ring because the original was rusted.
