Excellent Cart
I own 3 other deer carts that I've accumulated over the years and while they work well they each have their drawbacks so I'm always on the lookout for a cart that has features that my current carts don't have and that will make hauling my deer out of the woods even easier and less work, especially as I get older. I've been looking at the Hawk Crawler for over a year and finally ordered one when I saw it on sale on Amazon for $94 with free shipping. I read all the reviews on Amazon for this cart and even though there were quite a few reviews that mentioned issues with missing parts I ordered anyway. The crawler was delivered a couple of days later and I immediately got concerned about missing parts because the box had taken a beating and there were a couple of fist sized holes in the box in a couple of places. I immediately removed the contents and took inventory, checking each piece against the parts list and was pleased to find all the parts were accounted for even though two (2) large screws were laying in the bottom of the box. How they didn't fall out of the holes in the box I have no idea but luckily they didn't. The assembly instructions were adequate, not great but adequate, and assembly was pretty straight forward. Total time for assembly was about an hour, with me taking my time and going slowly. All the holes lined up correctly, all the pieces fit together as designed and all the screws, fasteners, bolts, etc worked as designed without any problems. The tubing/structure of the crawler is nicely constructed and is extremely beefy and sturdy. The mesh fabric that holds your cargo is a very sturdy, thick, tough and strong fabric that clearly will stand up over time and use and it is very securely attached to the cart frame. The wheels are advertised to be filled with some sort of foam to make them "never flat" tires, however they do have air valves installed in them. I cannot definitively state that their is foam inside of them or not but all 4 of my tires arrived in excellent condition and filled (inflated) and easily handled cargo weight. From what I've read it appears to be general consensus that they are in fact partially filled with some sort of "never flat" foam material to prevent them from going totally flat if you get a puncture but they do in fact require 25 PSI of air in each tire for normal use. Not being able to prove that there is foam inside each tire I will assume that what I've read is true and that each tire is indeed partially foam filled. I guess time will tell. My plan is to carry a can of "Flat Fix It" in my pack just in case. The "free floating" suspension system of the wheels that enables each individual tire to pivot up and over obstacles is very simple in design but works smoothly, effortlessly and perfectly, while all the time insuring that your load really does stay level. I tested it out in my yard using different obstacles and I was very impressed by this feature. The front portion of the crawler folds down flat, as does the long handle, making the folded crawler much smaller in length and it easily fits inside the bed of my pickup. One thing......the instructions diagram shows 2 small spring clips that install through the pre-cut holes in the support tubing on the smaller front section and serve to lock the section in the fully extended (open) position so it doesn't flop up or down, however those clips are not included in the hardware. I went to the hardware store and purchased two 1/4" x 2" spring clips for $5.00 and they work great. The clips are not listed on the parts list and you have to look very closely at the assembly diagrams to see them but they are there. One of the other things I really liked about this crawler is the long handle. One of my complaints with my other carts is that the handles are to short and don't give me the length that I need to easily balance the carts and comfortably pull or push them. That's not a problem with this cart. The handle is quite long and for me the perfect length to make using the cart extremely efficient and comfortable. There's actually enough room for you to stand "inside" the handle to pull it. The front handle is secured by one (1) long bolt on each side with a large plastic star shaped "Delta" nut on the end for you to tighten/loosen the tension to secure the handle into position. It works well and once tightened down locks the handle into position however with weight in the cart the handle has a tendency to "pop" out of it's locked position. This is due to the fact that the handle is secure by only one (1) bolt on each side which allows it to "pivot" even after being tightened down if enough weight/pressure is place on it. The remedy for this is simply to either drill another hole in the tubing on each side and insert a spring clip or use a hose clamp slipped over the tubing and tightened down. Either of these solutions is quick, simple and easy and will give each side of the handle two (2) securing points thus totally eliminating the issue of the handle pivoting out of "lock" under weight load. I went with the hose clamp method as I didn't want to drill another hole in the handle tubing and possibly weaken the strength of the handle frame. The cart is really nicely constructed and sturdy as heck. As a result it's heavy. I didn't weigh it but it's much heavier than my other carts. It's to heavy to pack any distance, at least for me, but I can lift it in and out of the bed of my pickup and that's all I need. From there I can unfold it and wheel it wherever I need to go. One final point... maneuverability. Due to the four (4) tire design the cart doesn't "turn on a dime" like traditional 2 wheel carts. It tracks/rolls perfectly in a straight line however if you need to take a hard right or left turn the tires tend to "drag" a bit instead of rolling through it. It's really not an issue for me though as the crawler does turn nicely as long as you start your turn while you are moving forward and just give the wheels a bit more distance to track into the turn. I can't think of anything else to write about the crawler except that I am very impressed with this cart and very happy with my purchase. It really is a great cart and will make getting my harvested deer out of the woods much easier and efficient, not to mention being used to haul firewood and other materials around my property as the need arises. Sorry my review is so long but I wanted to get in as much information as I could think of. I hope this review helps someone who may be thinking of purchasing the crawler.

The price doesnt even matter. Buy it, you wont regret it!
Im not sure where this thing has been my whole hunting career or why i didnt know about it. I should have bought one of these 10 years ago! We used this cart more then your average person this year. 3 deer, 2 antelope, and 1 cow elk. I didnt have a cart before this purchase and relied solely on these reviews to purchase this cart. If your on the edge of doing it or not absolutely stop thinking about it and make your life easier. This cart will hold a whole bone in elk in game bags. You will have to tie it down but it carrys it awesome and has enough capacity to make it happen. We carted a cow elk 1.5 miles out loaded with minimal effort. It folds up which is phenomenal for carrying it in bed of truck. The rotating axles and big tires make this thing not even in the same category as other game carts on the market. My only complaint is they do not include 2 pins to hold the front from folding up when empty and when loading an animal. They are not needed but would be a cheap addition to make loading your animals easier with 1 person.

So far so good. Update: Excellent
This thing is a beast! Weighs 45# empty! No issues with tires yet after inflating to 25psi. Glad for all the reviews describing the flaws with the crawlers design. I added 1/4โ PTO pins to the handle (after drilling holes) and lower folding assembly (holes pre drilled by manufacturer). Got 10 for $8 here at Amazon. Odd that on the instructions looks as though pictured on lower assembly but no mention in instructions and hardware not included. Otherwise assembly was easy. 4 stars due to added modifications. Look forward to harvesting a deer and using this. Might use it to bring gear/tree climber in. Will update this review after I do. This has got to be better than dragging. Last 7pt whitetail inspired me to purchase this. I had the plastic sled and I had to call in a friend to help me drag it out. UPDATE 1/9/26 - This thing is great. Harvested a whitetail doe about 3/4 of a mile from the truck. The crawler seems bulky getting in and out because it is heavy and awkward. But this thing rolls over terrain like magic. I had a plastic sled initially because I left the crawler in the car. The sled was so horrible I left the deer and hiked back to the car for the crawler. Iโll never leave it behind again (or use a plastic sled). I was going over rolling hills along a poweline trail, pretty rocky and it performed great. Iโm sure it would be just as smooth going off trail in the woods. I also found it easier to push instead of pull (unless going over fallen trees and other obstructions). Easy to clean and I like the fabric bed. I used my tree climber safety strap to secure the load. I have more but didnโt need them this time.

Excellent customer service, pretty sturdy cart
My cart arrived with one of the wheels damaged near the axle bearing. It was bent in such a way the axle would not pass through both sides. The seller was very responsive and got a replacement wheel out to me within a couple of days. This was important as I was headed out for a 9-day hunt. Assembly is straight forward. Like others, I added to the handle-to-frame area. I used decent sized hose clamps on each side. This allowed me to loosen and slide them down to fold the handle, then slide them up and tighten to hold the handle securely in place. Make sure to add WD40 or grease to the axles and spacers or you will hear them squeak as they articulate. I also added pins to keep the bottom folding section locked in place. As for functionality, the cart worked great. It is NOT light weight, so pulling it up and down very roughed steep terrain full of gear had it's challenges. The wheels articulation was pretty amazing for the terrain I covered. I got a little too confident a few times on side slopes and it toppled over. These were very steep side slopes. Maneuverability is limited as far as sharp turns just based on having 4 wheels in fixed alignment. I did have to make 4 or 6-point turns in a few tight spots. I was little concerned about the webbing but it held up well to my use. I had to get a little creative with tie-downs. I will be adding some loops of some sort to make that easier. I was in pinion/juniper/cactus country on this hunt. One of the tires ultimately succumbed to the cactus spikes. I was actually surprised they lasted as long as they did considering these ground cactus spikes will punch deep into thick rubber boot soles. I was able to continue using the cart with whatever foam core is in there. I haven't taken if apart yet to get the tube replacement size. I will look at adding some tube slime or maybe mountain bike tire liners. I highly recommend the Hawk Crawler. It may even see duty on trail repair and improvement projects this coming Spring/Summer.

No more dragging or backpacking gear.
This is the ultimate game and gear hauler. Easy to pull loaded down - the wheels make it easy to go over any terrain. Especially in places where access is walk in only. Assembling was easy, around 20 minutes.

Instructions hard to follow; tire split and leaked in vehicle
The 4 wheels distribute the weight evenly. Easy to pull if you adjust the wheel nuts properly as long as you don't take tight turns. Does not tip easily due to good center of gravity. Need large wrench to tighten axle nuts which is not supplied. No retaining pins supplied to hold rear of cart from flipping up and down. Fold down handle is retained with plastic delta nuts that have metal threads molded into it. This does not secure the handle from moving very well, because the instruction show the nylon strap going between the metal handle parts. I can see this may be a problem during a rough haul out of the woods with a large load. I moved the nylon strap to the outside so the delta nut tightens against it. This is a better way of securing the towing handle. I returned the first cart for poor powder coating quality and missing carriage bolts pack "C". Well, there is no such thing as parts package "C", because the carriage bolts and Delta nuts are zip tied to the frame. There are no instruction to tell you how tight the wheel nuts or axle nuts should be . The instruction are very poor. I returned the second cart for a refund because tire tread split when I pulled the cart sideways to adjust it in my truck bed. I never used the cart and I would not trust it to hual deer or anything else because of how easily the tire split. I will stick to the hard wheel hauler I have had for 20 years. Very disappointed. Please keep your box the item was shipped in because it will cost you $44 at least to send it back if you don't.

Works better than i expected
Works great. Pulling it over rough terrain is much easier than a two wheel cart. I tested through the woods and even over concrete parking blocks. Worked so well I tied it on to the luggage rack of my ebike and used it to fetch a climbing stand four miles in a limited access area. Worked far better than I thought it could.

Great cart but missing parts
Cart itself is awesome! It has functions that others donโt and works exactly as it should. Assembly was not bad but there were 4 parts missing (2 carriage bolts and two quick release pins) which are easy to get from any hardware store but for how expensive the cart is it should not be missing parts. It would have gotten 5 stars if the parts were not missing.

Not as advertised!
Chose this more expensive cart because it advertised "Tires are filled with microcellular polyurethane foam that never goes flat or leaks" but it just has regular air filled tires that were even flat 2 hours after filling!
