Fig Newtons, 14 Oz

These cookies are very stale and hard. I tried running them thru the microwave for 5 to 7 seconds to see if they would soften up. No go!! The cookie part turned to dust and the newton part turned very bitter. I had a Drill Instructor that always said when we didn't perform correctly that it was "A Sad Day For The Flag". That's how I feel about these cookies.

QUALITY - the outer part now seems more like a FRESH, FLAKY CRUST and less soggy. I really like it a lot more. SOFT, GOOEY inside and kind of like a pie crust outside.QUANTITY - I am trying to stock up on staples and the fact I could get 48 PACKS with TWO LARGER cookies (it's more like getting four of the regular size) per packet is GREAT. These will last me awhile and since they're INDIVIDUAL packets, I don't have to worry about having to finish a box before they go stale.PRICE - Seriously, HOW can you beat this price? To get 48 packets for under twenty bucks?INGREDIENTS - OK, MAYBE not a health food, but better than MANY cookies out there and I love the taste.BOTTOMLINE: If you are a Fig Newtonite like I am, you may want to stock up at this price.

Hubby started taking his lunch to work due to the current conditions this year and he asked me to pick up some Fig Newtons for him.I couldn't find them anywhere!He's a trucker and used to pick them up at truck stops but our local grocery stores just don't carry them.I'm so glad I found them on Amazon! Hubby loves them!These are the bigger cookies, not the smaller ones we ate as kids. I think they are even better!They are super fresh! The crust is soft and flaky. And the filling is delicious!If you loved Fig Newtons as a child, these will bring back some great memories.Or get them as a gift for your grandpa or grandma! They'll love them!I hope this helps! :)

First, they're Fig Newtons and who doesn't love Fig Newtons!?!?!?! I bought this particular packaging because I have a box outside of my house that I keep filled with treats and water bottles for the delivery folks so they can get a snack. So I"m always looking for single serve packaging to leave out. These fit the bill.I was surprised when I ordered them that they came separately than the rest of my Amazon order, but they are shipped directly from Nabisco (or one of their distributors, I'm not sure) so they were very fresh (yeah, I tried a package) and came swiftly.This is my own review -- I didn't receive any remuneration nor free product -- I bought, I tried, I liked.

There's no way to report that one of the four boxes were missing in the shipment; the outer box with 2 other items was not tampered with, but the individual box carrying the 4 Newton trays was opened on one wing and one of the trays were missing. Don't want a refund, don't want to return the whole thing, so I'm using this avenue to report the problem. I would appreciate the 4th tray to be sent separately or a partial refund. This has been a great product for the year I've been receiving it, but.....

This must be a newer version of the classic fig newtons. Definitely chewier than expected. I did not like it and neither did my 6yr old princess. After professing my love for it, to get her to finish the one she started, which she would not finish, after trying it myself, I must admit I agree with her and can attest to the difference in taste. I had to purchase a regular pack from my local mart just so she could get why I liked them. We prefer the original! Oh, also, they taste very stale. Not sure if they are expired or improperly stored. YUCK!

This is my 3rd order in as many months. I love the Fig! 1st two orders had fresh chewy newton's. Sadly, not this order. Cookies are old, stale and hard as rocks. I checked all 6 boxes and everyone is the same - fossilized. It's a great value for the money, but freshness makes it risky. Too bad.

They're tasty for awile. I was feeling nostalgic when i purchased these as i used to have them all the time as a kid. Apparently i didn't read anything and purchased like 50 packs of fig newtons. Down to my last 10 packs...i tried to give Couple to the homeless man in the corner and he chucked them at my head. I don't know if i can do it anymore.
