Flip Waffle Maker Test — Fast, Even Cooking & Actually Worth It?
I wasn’t sure if the flip feature actually mattered - but after using it, it absolutely does. I’ve used a few waffle makers over the years, and this one is easily one of the most convenient and consistent I’ve tried. I tested it making multiple waffles back-to-back, and it handled everything really well. The biggest standout is how evenly it cooks. Because it flips, the batter distributes evenly across both plates, so you don’t get raw centers or overcooked edges. Each waffle came out crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, exactly what you want. It’s also fast — once preheated, each waffle cooked in under 3 minutes. I was able to make breakfast for my family of four in about 15 minutes total without any issues. ✅ What works well: -Adjustable browning control (light → dark) -Even cooking from the flip design Fast cook time (under 3 minutes per waffle) -Indicator lights for power, preheat, and doneness -Removable drip tray catches overflow (very helpful) -Can be stored vertically to save space -Works with: Homemade batter Box mixes Just-add-water mixes 🧪 Real-life use: I used about 1 cup of batter per waffle, flipped immediately after locking, and let it cook until the ready light came back on. Each waffle released cleanly with a light spray of oil and didn’t stick. You only need to preheat once, so making multiple waffles in a row is quick and easy. ⚠️ What to know: -The plates are NOT removable, so cleaning has to be done by wiping them down (best while still warm, not hot) -Oil and add-ins (like chocolate chips or berries) can build up if not cleaned after each use ⭐️Tips: -You cannot open the waffle maker while it’s flipped (safety feature) -If you want a darker waffle, just close the lid again and let it cook longer Bottom line: This is a fast, easy-to-use waffle maker that delivers consistent results. The flip design actually makes a difference, and the cooking speed makes it great for fast breakfast option.

I recommend the similar Black & Decker instead
I have purchased both this (in stainless steel) and the BLACK+DECKER Flip Waffle Maker, WM1404S . Ultimately I recommend the Black & Decker one instead. Functionally, they work identically. They produce the same size waffles with the same pattern, the locking mechanism works basically the same, they both have the same folding handle, they both have a drip tray that can be slotted in vertically for convenience. I measured the temperatures and temperature evenness of the hot plates with an IR thermometer and they're similarly identical -- heating until 450°F, stopping heating until it goes down to 350°F, then turning heating back on until reaching 450°F. In fact, the two products are so similar that I have to assume they're made in the same factory in China. And the one functional difference them *seem* to have actually isn't -- the temperature control on the Bella (which the B&D lacks) has no purpose. I mean, it works. But there is simply no situation when you're making waffles where you don't want the maximum heat, where you don't want them to start out at 450°F. However light or dark you prefer your waffles should be determined exclusively by how long you leave them in. Lighter waffles should be done with less time, not a lower temperature. A lower temperature will only result in an undercooked interior. So the fact that the Bella has a temperature knob isn't a pro in any way, but it is one more thing that can break -- so it's actually a con, albeit a small one. But, so why do I recommend the Black & Decker instead? Quite simply, it looks much better in the kitchen. The Bella is made of glossy-smooth stainless steel, and a glossy-smooth plastic support that looks flimsy. It just looks kind of... cheap. Whereas the Black & Decker is made of *brushed* stainless steel, and a *matte* plastic support that looks and feels far more substantial. If you have a modern kitchen, then your fridge/dishwasher/oven/toaster oven/etc. are probably all finished in *brushed* steel. So the Black & Decker just "fits in" nicely. Whereas the Bella just looks cheap and unattractive. Matte finishes are just more attractive than glossy ones, generally speaking. If you don't care about looks, then just pick whichever one is cheaper -- they will make identical waffles. But if you want this to look good in your kitchen, then I completely recommend the Black & Decker instead.

Works great right out of the package. Easy to use and clean up. The whole family is very happy that I make waffles more often since this purchase! I may even buy another to gift to my grown children.

Belgian waffle maker!
I’m really happy with my waffle maker. The rotating feature makes a big difference, my waffles come out evenly cooked every time, fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The browning control is a nice touch too since sometimes I want a lighter waffle and other times I like it extra crispy. Cleanup is easy because of the nonstick plates and the removable drip tray that catches any overflow. I also appreciate the cool-touch handles no need to worry about burning my hands when flipping. The stainless steel design feels sturdy and looks good sitting on the counter. I definitely recommend.

Worst experience someone returned the used product and the sell haven't seen it and it was with oil and food traces and smell

For the price, this is a great waffle maker. Contrary to what others say, the opening and the rotating mechanisms work perfectly. And I don’t see where users are saying the waffles stick and are difficult to remove. I have never sprayed the surface, and all the waffles easily come out. I have only one complaint (hence my four star instead of five). The timer sucks. I note too that this has been mentioned before. You turn the timer to the top heat, and the waffles are still not correctly cooked. But years ago I read a user tip, and have been following it ever since. That is, wait for the waffle maker to quit emitting steam, and the waffles are done. No big deal, but the thermostat should be fixed.

If you like frozen waffles, the BELLA Classic waffle maker makes much better waffles. My kids love pancakes, but now they want waffles instead. The BELLA Classic is the first waffle maker that I've owned and its a keeper. I used my standard thick pancake batter (3 cups flour) and added two tablespoons more oil and I was able to make perfect waffles on the first try. This machine warms up within two minutes and the waffles are done within 4 minutes. The waffles are thick and soft and slightly crisp on the outside. I don't like crisp waffles and if you do, then this waffle maker will disappoint you. My only complaint is that the waffles aren't browned that evenly, but its not that bad. I don't see the point of spending double the money unless you want the type that can make two waffles at once.

Se percibe buena calidad en los materiales. Le doy 4 estrellas porque no logra dorar bien los waffles aunque esté en el máximo.

I bought this one based on the reviews alone. Even though it said the ready timer was not accurate, which it isn't, it doesn't matter. All of the comments were bang on ...... 7 minutes and done! no more, no less. They were absolutely perfect. Best waffles i've ever had. I would take these over my homemade pancakes any day. This waffle iron is PERFECT! Easy to clean, easy to use....just awesome!
