Hellsing Ultimate - Volume 1-10 Complete Collection [DVD]

One of the best Anime adaptations I have seen so far. I'd highly recommend this one for watching on Halloween with friends and family. It's a great mix of action, horror, superb storytelling and a slight hint of real world conspiracy theory regarding the villains of the series that has you wanting to find out more about the world of Hellsing right from the first episode. Again, I cannot recommend this Anime enough for the perfect Halloween watch along.

A more faithful adaptation of the original manga than the 2001 anime series, Hellsing Ultimate is a brilliant show that I would easily rate as one of my favourite anime, even though the gore and swearing mean that it probably wouldn’t be to everyone’s taste. This Complete Collection includes all ten episodes of the series across five discs, along with another three discs of special features. The OVA series itself entertaining from start to finish with a mix of violence and humour that, I will admit, could be jarring to some but I find quite fun. The animation in the series is mostly still looks really good today, despite starting in 2006, with only the CGI in the crowd scenes looking quite poor (but even that is better than some more recent anime). All the characters are great, even if many of them are not particularly nice people, they are voiced brilliantly in both the Japanese and English versions (both of which are included in the DVD set). I will admit that when I first watched the series years ago I wasn’t much of a fan of the English dub, however, but now I do really enjoy it with Gildart Jackson in particular being great as the Major, and his speech in the fourth episode being my favourite villain monologue in any media. The set includes a large number of special features, including commentaries, promos, interviews, convention panels, textless songs, and the like, and while I haven’t watched all of them, those I have seen have been quite good. There is also the first (sub only) episode of 'The Dawn', a short prequal, that is quite interesting.

A great Series I have watched it on Netflix a couple of times it’s time to buy. If you watch something more than twice buy it you will only be annoyed if it was taken down.

Wonderful edition! It's region 2 with English subtitles - info not specified in the description. Inlove this series, so many amazing scenes and the music! A must have!

On of.my favourite animes, prefer this one to the original. Alucard is a beast!

I've only been waiting for what seems like years ... oh wait it HAS been years for this to come out. It has a few extra's thrown in but some of its very out of date, like old expo panels from 2007 etc. The DVD quality is decent, the sounds good and the series is of course excellent. I had purchased the single DVD's but had never been able to complete my collection as they never released the last DVD set here in the UK. That was the main reason I've had to buy this set which annoyed me a bit as I think it's a blatant money rip off to be honest. It's nicely presented and all that jazz and it's nice to have an excellent series like this on DVD completely but it looses a star for being so obviously a way to rip of loyal UK fans.

インポート版はDVD・BDレコーダーでは再生できないと聞いていたのですが、不具合なく観ることができました。 内容は好き嫌いが大きく割れると思われる内容です。TV放送版と比較しても割れるらしいですが、原作を知らないので分かりません。

When I tried to watch it on the ps4 slim before playing the dvd it asked me to change player to region 2 (which I did and it worked) but I can only change it back to Region 1 and 2 4 times before going default (Be aware). I would recommend everyone (choice is up to you) getting an all region dvd (which I did after watching a few episode on the ps4 slim and started resuming it on the all region dvd) I would rather watch on that then the ps4 slim. But overall I enjoyed the episodes and it arrived in good condition thankfully.

Bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas and he loved it, was very high quality and in plastic wrapping aswell! Didnt take too long to ship, either.

The case isn't the sturdiest - a bit cheap feeling and I worry that it might break when I'm trying to take a dvd out of its holder. But the actual content on the dvds is great - quality wise, subtitle wise & features wise. The case being finicky doesn't bother me too much, since the point of purchase was to add one of my favourite anime to the collection.
