Does a great job at keeping my M.2 SSD drive from overheating
This cooling pad works great! Previously, the Samsung 970 EVO M.2 SSD drive in my laptop would get hot, about 65C, which seemed to slow down the performance. Now that I'm using the Coolertek pad, the drive stays at a comfortable 50-51C and performance is not reduced. The fans are fairly quiet. The pad is light weight and durable since the top mesh is made of metal. The bottom is made of plastic, but is sturdy. The four rubber feet on the bottom are nice and thick, and seem durable. I have had it a month with no problems, and bought a second one for my wife. This cooling pad works so well that I want to turn it off at times to save battery, and not cool my "lap" too much. It would be nice if there was a switch on the cooling pad to turn it off, instead of unplugging the USB cable repeatedly which could cause premature wear. I eventually bought a USB extension cable with an inline switch to control the power. This is not a major issue, and I give the cooling pad 5 stars.

Great pad with ONE exception
My old pad died so I got this one to cool a Dell XPS 13 at the end of April, 2024. It is very quiet. The fans do an excellent job. I like the fact that they light up, meaning you can easily confirm that it is working. It weighs just a bit under 1 pound so its easy to put in my computer bag for travel. It is very well ventilated and does not get very warm. It is metal and has no traction features so my laptop has slid off of it twice (I am literally working with it on my lap.) My biggest complaint however is that the power cord is separate from the pad, meaning you have to keep up with it when you store it. My previous pad had a recessed track on the bottom into which you snaked the cord and everything stayed together and the cord was permanently attached. I looked for one like that this time but could not find one that I otherwise liked and that had a good price point. Overall I think this is a very good product. Seems well built and reliable.

Thin Bottom Panel Causes Fan Grinding, But Cooling Performance Is Solid
It works well overall, but I’ve noticed the bottom of the unit feels very thin. When I pick it up, any pressure on the bottom can flex into the fan area and cause a grinding noise. I wish the bottom plate were a bit more rigid/stable, but otherwise it does a good job keeping things cool.

I didn't realize it'd be so great!
I just got tired of the warm laptop on my lap. This thing is awesome! It's simple! The cord is a USB to USB cord - about 20 inches long. There's no power button - took me a minute. It powers on by plugging one end into the fan board and the other into another USB port, such as your laptop. It powers off by either the laptop end being turned off, or by unplugging one end. Simple. It's pretty thin. I have a laptop sleeve (not a big bag) and it slides right in with my laptop. I brought it on vacation with me, too! It's super lightweight, too! It keeps the laptop cool, and I mean I've used it for 3 straight hours - no heat on my lap! It lights up, but that doesn't even matter to me. This thing is a Godsend for people who often use a laptop. They get warm when in use, they get warm while charging....YOU NEED THIS!

Fan is too loud, and lacks tabs at bottom/front to hold laptop in position.
I had a similar laptop cooling fan that I bought probably 10 years ago. It recently died. I got my money's worth from it, no complaints. It was so quiet I often forgot to unplug it from the USB port when I was not using the laptop. Not this one. To be fair, I have good hearing, I live in a quiet place away from street noise, and I'm fussy about noise. Your results will probably differ. Then again, I can still hear it with my refrigerator fan running, and heavy rain on my metal roof. With the laptop an arm's reach away from where I am typing on my desktop computer, I hear the steady flow of air, which of course is this cooling fan's purpose. I don't think the device is defective. The noise is not from the motor, it's just the sound of moving warm air away from underneath the laptop, which is why I bought it. This device is probably no louder than other laptop cooling fans: it's just the physics of fast moving air. But it's louder than the other laptop cooling fan that I used for years. I guess that's because the new one has two actual fans in it, while my older one had only one fan. So the new fan is probably moving more warm air than my previous laptop cooling fan did, which is a good thing. I guess I'll adapt to that. You probably won't even hear it. Also, the old fan had little tabs on the near side to keep the fan from sliding off. Not this new one. When I deployed the little folding "legs" on the far end, my MacBook wanted to slide off with the slightest nudge. I'll fabricate some solution to that as soon as the rain quits and I can get out to my workshop to do that simple project. But you might want to choose a different brand that has those tabs, so your laptop doesn't slide off the stand.

It is a bit noisy but does the job

I picked up this cooling pad, and I’m really happy with it for the price. It’s cheap but does exactly what it’s supposed to—keeps my laptop cool during long hours of use. The best part is that it runs entirely off USB power, so no extra cords or adapters are needed. It’s lightweight, compact, and does a solid job of preventing my laptop from overheating. For the price, it’s hard to beat. It’s simple, effective, and does what it’s supposed to do without any frills. Definitely recommend if you need a basic cooling pad that works well without breaking the bank.

Although the product delivers what it claims there is one annoying feature or lack of. The back feet do not lock into place so if you push the product when working everything collapses. Because of this I am displeased with the product.
