I gave it as a gift to someone who makes jewelry and uses it to cut clay. I love how thin I can slice my canes using this tool however it’s pretty bare bones. There are no guides or measurement markers or marks on the dial so you know when you’ve cranked it a full 360. I bought self adhesive measuring tape and applied it myself. Also a crank to advance the clay instead of a knob would be much better. On the plus side, it does have a safety feature. It is made well and does what it claims. I’m glad I bought it. They also offer a deluxe model for twice the price. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works as advertised but some trial and error needed. *by K***R on June 3, 2019* I have only made a few slices so far but they're all even. You do have to hold the cane onto the platform when lifting the blade or it won't stay in place and you'll end up with uneven slices.It was not too hard to put together however the instructions were lacking. They kept saying use screw a or screw b but there were no pictures of which screw was screw a or b so you kind of have to figure it out from the pics which aren't great.And why did everything have to be double wrapped in plastic? One should be sufficient. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So glad I got this *by J***H on March 2, 2021* This arrived quickly and all you have to do is put on the blade arch. My blade met at the base evenly but it did rub/scrape one side of the arch on the way down. It took some adjusting but in the end I got it to an acceptable state I just have to gently apply slight pressure backwards when slicing to avoid it completely. It makes super thin super consistent slices and is extremely easy to use.
