It works rather well. It's not perfect or high end but it works. Sure some other ones are made better and may reduce the vertical up n down better but it's only slightly better and not worth the price difference.I like how it folds in and becomes a case for the pocket. Whip it out and you've got some smooth stabilization. The bracket that holds the pocket would have been better if you could tighten it. It's just snug enough so it doesn't slip down bc if you go to low it covers the buttons. After time it may get a little looser but a slight piece of something like tape could be used for a tighter fit. No biggy.Overall build is good it's not junk or cheap feels ok to good. The phone holder is metal πŸ‘ nice solid piece. There are 2 quarter 20s I'm going figure out how to mount a cold shoe for an external mic. This is worth getting at around $16. When I travel everything I take with me has to fit in an airline carry-on bag and a small backpack. So my camera gear has to be really compact.I like to pack a nice compact camera with a 1" sensor (a Panasonic ZS-100 or LX-10) and an Osmo Pocket with a TinyRigs case that holds a few useful Osmo accessories. In a perfect world that would be all I need.In a perfect world, I'd also be a Ninja-walk magician. Alas, mine is not a perfect world.This inexpensive and compact Z-axis stabilizer is not a cure-all magical solution for smooth walking video. With a little practice, however, it does a great job of smoothing out walking footage and gives it a more professional look. Best of all it does this with minimal added weight and volume in my bags without breaking the bank.With a little -- two or three hours -- practice this z-axis rig may not make your world a perfect one, but it will help you deliver the smooth walking video you're looking for.One last note: If you buy this, you'll also want a short, 30cm/1ft OTG cable to connect your Osmo Pocket and your smartphone.Pros:* Compact* Lightweight* Stores into its own handle* Inexpensive* Really smooths out the bounce in your walking video footageCons:* It's not a great Osmo Pocket storage case.
