I have been meditating on and off for several years. I usually sit on the floor with my feet touching each other and my knees slightly up, but usually my feet fall asleep within 10 mins and i have to get out of the position. i use to sit crossed legged but i found that extremely uncomfortable and plus i think crossing any thing on the body when you are trying to be open and accept energy is kind of a contradiction, but i digress. I have tried seating on a chair it is ok for me but i can never find the right chair to seat in for more then 5 mins. i did a google search for meditation positions and most were positions that i tried or in a crossed position. i saw seated bench and i was intrigued. i got two, this one and a larger cushion bench. I was super surprised how comfortable this bench is with out a cushion compared to my other purchase. i have used this for over a week and i love it. I am 5'7 170lbs athletic built and this is perfect for me. i even sit on a hardwood floor and i am still comfortable with my knees and nothing falls asleep. the added bonus is that it folds up and is compact which is great for me because i travel alot. dont look further, get this bench for your practice!!!!
