The core threaded portion broke off in my antenna reciever. It wasn't cross threaded or anything crazy... and I don't think of myself as a strong female. My husband trying to remove it but it's broken far too deep and it's not budging. Now we have to replace the entire antenna assembly! And the vendor wants $8 for return shipping. I won't even bother returning this item since it will take more gas in my truck to get to the post office than I will get back from the vendor. ### ⭐⭐⭐ AM reception is not as good as when first installed *by K***T on Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2019* I don't know if there's an oxidation film forming in the antenna socket or what but AM reception is not nearly as good as when I first installed it. I followed the instructions to a T and it left a quarter inch gap between the base and the truck.
