These are TV dinner trays! That said, there’re very sturdy and can hold couple plates of food and glasses of beverages at sane time. You probably would have no problems putting a heavy bowl of food on it (30 lbs) fur people to help themselves with. These are NOT for sitting on or for workshops, toolshops etc You’ll reduce the lifespan of these TV trays if you use them for purposes well outside what they were made for. I know - I did that in the past.
