If you don't have your Surface in a case, and you prefer to use it naked, this dock is a perfect fit!I've noticed people complaining that both USB ports do not work, I have seen; however, there's a voltage issue, perhaps? I had a Logitech Unifying Receiver in the bottom port and a known good USB thumb drive at the top. The thumb drive wasn't being seen, and however, if I reversed it, PRESTO, it works just fine!If you have an older Surface like a 3, for example, this is a nice add.. Might work on a 4; however, I'm not willing to undo my UAG case to find out!Bottom line, if you need a slim dock, for the money, you can't beat this! Those complaining about it not working and amazon not taking their money back. Depending on the state you live in, there are laws on the books for Lemons...I am happy with my purchase. Why four stars vs. five.. the UAG case thing...
