I bought this on a whim to cover the buckle that continuously snagged my sweaters on the strap of my purse. It does do that trick very well, but it is pretty stiff and doesn't mould to my body very well. I'm hoping that'll change with time. It does feel very well crafted.

This handsome padded leather shoulder pad quickly attaches to straps up to two inches wide with velcro fasteners. First off, these are "natural" (seller's words) leather pads, and might work with distressed leather, but I had to return them for two reasons: 1) I needed a pair, and I couldn't get two adequately matched in color (I bought seven, see attached photo). 2) The marks, spots etc. just didn't work with the clean look of the (real leather) Fossil bag this was to be paired with. Other than that, these appear to be hand-made in India, very good value for the price. I noticed cut, stitching and padding variations among the pieces that are to be expected given the price.

I bought this pad as the messenger bag I bought did not have one on it. The pad opens around the strap and holds in place with Velcro. It was simple to attach. The part that sits on my shoulder is soft while the outside is leather that folds around the shoulder strap. It fits the 2" strap perfectly. The leather matched the color I needed perfectly. It has a good amount of cushion. I am happy with this - it fits just what I needed.

This product is larger and heavier than I thought it would be. Perhaps I should have paid more attention to the measurements. It weighs more than I expected making my purse even heavier than it was to start with. I am not sending it back but I would probably not have bought it if I had know how large/heavy it is. I'm thinking of making my own padding for my purse strap.

I bought this to use with a messenger bag with a cloth strap. It's very comfortable, easy to use and while it is stiff at first, it takes a few weeks to break in. Once broken in, it will conform nicely to your shoulder. Definitely disperses the pressure from the strap too.

Good quality, but what the heck is with the mold? Just send me a new one without mold. Not returning this trash!?

This one is leather, padded, and brown, and what else do you need? It's a little stiff at first, but soon becomes supple with use, and I can recommend it without hesitation.

I ordered this single leather pad for the shoulder straps of a leather backpack thinking it was a pair. The strap is quite long, and suitable for a camera bag or overnight bag. The leather is stiff, should loosen up with use.

You pay a little more for this option verses other nylon alternatives. All are fine but I do think these are well enough made, have the leather look and feel, and worth a try. More than satisfied!
