Google Pixel Slate Keyboard

One of the best notebook/portable keyboards, especially for how compact, light, and thin it is. The keys have short but very well defined clicky feedback. Great fast typing and games. Since it's such a thin and flat design, your desktop or w/e it's on is its direct pressure backstop, unlike laptops or even other portable keyboard designs, where there is always some give to the underlying structure of the kb itself, this has none. The other side to this is if you're typing on it as an actual lap top, it is less solid than traditional kb's which are more sturdy on their own. Otherwise, rock solid fast typing.With regard to design, aside from the fact that is directly plugged in, which means a) no battery/charging, and b) no bluetooth lag; I do hate the folding design , how when the kb is folded back, the tablet is always teetering. I prefer the reverse clamshell style in that regard, but it's a tradeoff. Those do not have as nice a keyboard, forget this one's impossibly thin and light format. Very similar to the microsoft surface kb, but the factory one for the pixel is even better.Btw if it ever gets stuck in tablet mode/on-screen kb even though you have the physical kb in forward typing position, and keystrokes do not register- sometimes pressing the ESC key is required. If the opposite, have the kb folded back and virtual kb will not appear, folding back to typing position and return will fix it.

This is the best keyboard for pixel slate and one of the best keyboards for a tablet overall. Only issue it's not very stable when in lap but otherwise it's great as a case and a keyboard for pixel slate

I ordered this keyboard from the Amazon Warehouse. It was listed as Used-Acceptable, which was defined as small cosmetic imperfections. I could live with that, but the keyboard itself was dead on arrival. Wouldn't power up even after I called Google for assistance, which they provided. I returned and purchased one from another venue, since there wasn't one available on Amazon any longer.Now for the review. I love this keyboard. It's made to perfectly work with the Pixel Slate, and it does. It makes it so much easier to use it for detailed office work when I'm traveling. Set up is so easy, it's like there's no set up, which there really isn't. You simply let it attach itself to the Slate with magnets, and it is instantly on and working perfectly. I recommend highly. It also has a cover which acts as a prop for the screen, so you get a laptop-like effect. There's nothing about it I don't like.

Bought the keyboard 8 months ago and it stopped working. Google will not honor the 1-year manufacturer warranty because Tech Wise Electronics is an unauthorized seller. And the seller only offers a 30 days warranty. It sucks. Putting Google and Tech Wise Electronics on my black list.
