But for what I was looking for, this cube is fantastic! The layers all slide over each other very easily and are very forgiving if you don't line them up exactly. Due to the angled corners of each cubelet, a misalignment almost gets automatically corrected for you. In addition, the internal construction of each layer seems to have some give, so even if you hold a layer slightly out of place while turning an opposing layer, the entire cube will kind of "stretch" to allow you to complete the move. Overall this makes the cube much faster than the one I'd been using. And since it's all just solid pieces of plastic (no stickers) I suspect it will hold up quite well over time, assuming that the layer rotation doesn't degrade. For the price, this is a really good cube, in my layman's opinion.
