But rather than letting an M.2 go to waste, I was able to use it on other systems that doesn't have an M.2 slot. The kit doesn't have the complete set of screws, though. And the case doesn't have the threads to make it easy to secure the aluminum cover. But important thing is that it works. I've connected this M.2 enclosure to my NAS for more than a month and it hasn't yet failed. Hopefully, it won't ever fail.
