Awesome kit! Tons of fun.
What can one say about any of the monster models originally released in the sixties. They are cool, well molded, fun to build and paint and they go oh so well on shelves. Dr. Jekyll was a likeable fellow and Mr. Hyde was a gas to hang with so this model is a must.

The Doctor is back in the house!
Dr. Jekyll as Mr. Hyde was first released by Aurora back in the 60's as part of it's movie monster collection, depicting the good doctor in mid transformation to his evil counterpart. While this is essentially the same kit, as others have stated, Moebius has tweaked the original mold a bit, adding a 'tongue and groove' to the inside edge of most the parts for a snugger fit as well as some tabs to help better connect the head and coat. The lab equipment and spider web have been cast in clear for a more realistic look while the rest is brown. The box is a reproduction of the original 'long box' release featuring the cool James Bama art and Aurora logo. (The version I received also had a gold foil Anniversary sticker on the outside plastic wrap). The only problem I had with the kit is Jekyll's teeth have large gaps between them and his mouth is an open hole. For some reason I'd recalled the kit had a fuller set of teeth and a mouth insert when I built it as a kid, but after talking to other model builders online, found this was not so. In any case, this can easily be fixed should the builder desire with scratch built parts, or there are replacement parts available from various model dealers on the web. The kit is not that difficult to build, but does contain small parts and requires glue and paint. Over-all a fun kit that brings back memories and great to see is still around after all these years.
