Vim Tools V620 Seat Track Socket for GM

I am giving the socket five stars as, though pricey, the socket is just as described and seems to be of reasonable quality. I ordered the socket when I was unable to remove the front bolts when removing the seats in my 2008 GMC Sierra (the back bolts came off easily with 12 point hex socket). After it was too late to cancel the order, I discovered that Harbor Freight had a 3/8 drive E-socket set which fits both the front and rear seat bolts and is approximately the same price as this single socket. I bought it and had the seats and console out with no problem. If you will be removing and installing several GM seats, I would probably recommend this socket (together with the socket for the back bolt). If you are like me and hope you never have to take another GM seat out in your life, get the Harbor Freight set. It's cheaper and worked just as well for light use.

If you are here looking for a E-torx socket to remove your front gmt800 security nuts, this socket fits very snug on them ensuring no strippage. It has a nice durable coated finish how i like for durability, easily gets the nuts off with a good wrench or impact, and i am very satisfied with it overall.

Fits the front Chevy seat nuts only, the back bolts are a different size.

Removed the 2 bolts that are required for seat removal in a 2005 Chevrolet silverado 2500hd. It's the one of 2 sizes that don't come with any kit due to it being a specific size for GM seat removal

Worked great for my GMT800 Tahoe (00-06). Should work on all full-size GM trucks from 00-06. If you have a 99 or 07 Silverado/Sierra with the 00-06 body style this should work on those as well. Only reason for 4 stars was the price for the tool IMO is a bit expensive, alls it is a 3/8” drive splined socket... but when you need it you’ll pay for it. Oh also this only works on the front two bolts for the front seats... had to use a regular 12-PT (I think it was 17mm) on the rear ones.

This Socket works great on the front nuts but the back ones are a smaller size i lucked out and had a smaller one.
