There aren't many humidifiers I found that can actually take oils directly into the tank. Some claim that you can, and then it messes up the unit - or worse, the plastic dissolves in contact with the oil and then you have cancer juice blowing all over the room. This one seems to be safe, easy to use, easy to clean, etc. Almost perfect.However, there are two considerable flaws.One, the mist output inside the unit is high, but the tiny hole doesn't let it all come out. Most of the mist stays inside of the unit. The product description says that it's for large rooms. As an oil diffuser, that's absolutely true. But as a humidifier, it's really not. It's definitely more than enough for a small room, but for a large dry room it's not enough. That's disappointing, and I have to take a star off for that. if the output is falling directly into the region in which you're sitting, then it'll work though.Two, it always glows when it's on. There is an additional, brighter, color changing light which you can turn on and off. But there is a white light that is also on while the unit is working, and it makes the whole thing glow in the dark. You cannot turn it off, and it's distracting at night. I'll have to find a way to cover this thing without restricting airflow into the unit. That's another star off.if none of this bothers you, then I can actually recommend this product. But if those are a factor, you'll have to keep looking. Just be really careful what you buy, because some humidifiers aren't made of the right plastic and will turn your air toxic. It seems a fan motor may not be functioning properly, leading to my poor experience. This is terrific customer service and a win for anyone interested in trying this product.As it turns out, there was a piece missing from the original unit that I think was the root cause of it not functionIng properly. Customer service sent me a replacement unit ant it works much better.The scent it gives off is much milder then a traditional EO diffuser. That said, it does disperse the EO scent for 12+ hours.I bought this on recommendation from a fellow essential oil user and was so excited to use it. Unfortunately, I’m not having the same good experience that she is.I add 20 or so drops of what I would consider to be heavily scented therapeutic grade essential oils yet can’t detect the scent even at the beginning of the run time when (normally scent would be heaviest with a traditional diffuser).Last night I had the diffuser on the highest output setting and 14 hours later noted the the water line barely moved. Not even 1/4 inch of water reduction.So how much is this really hydrating my space? Not much I’m guessing. But the towel it sits on is plenty damp. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not the prettiest but possibly the biggest of it's kind *by D***Y on Reviewed in the United States on February 26, 2020* While it's not nearly as attractive as many diffusers on Amazon, this one holds a large amount of water and can go for days. If you get used to turning it off after using it overnight, you can extend the use over several days before refilling it. Not very many hidden crevices for mold, so that's good for cleaning it. I'd suggest putting a couple drops of bleach into the water only while cleaning it, taking care to thoroughly rinse it out with warm water. The output of 'fog' is not super-strong, don't expect for it to act exactly like a humidifier would. I also suggest using care on a nightstand where electronics may be, as moisture can accumulate in areas directly under the area where fog/steam is emitted.
