BH Cosmetics 120 Color Eyeshadow, 3rd Edition

Beautiful palette of color. I also have the 1st edition palette. I bought that one first having never tried or heard of this brand before. Within a week of receiving that one, I ordered the 4th edition. I pull my colors from each one each use. So many different options. I love the shimmer each has. It's best if you use a primer as most of these colors will wear off pretty quickly. I like NYX primer pots. I have one in shimmer and matte. I use E.L.F brushes, my fingers and cotton swabs for application. Goes on smoothly. Pigmented well. Some of the super super light shades barely show up, but that's to be expected. I use those to get more shimmer without more color. These colors can be applied wet or dry. For daytime I use them dry. For extra drama at night, I apply them wet. When they dry the color is more intense. I have also been using a product, also by E.L.F. that is an eyeliner sealer. It can also be used to turn any shadow into a liner. This has been awesome. So many different looks. So many people complain about the size of the pots. That they are too small. I have had my palette for almost a year and have barely made a dent in use. Those that complain they didn't feel like they got full size pots are either high or the kind of girls who use paint rollers and Spackle to apply their make up. For optimal use, I have found it's better to build colors up. Start with a small amount on your applicator of choice, apply until there is nothing left on the applicator, redip into your color and add another layer until you get the color and intensity you desire. I will be ordering a few more sets for christmas gifts. All of my girlfriends (and a couple of the guys) have been drooling over my palettes. Especially my nieces.

I was so excited to receive this item as one of my friends had bought it off of the company website. When I received it, there was eye shadow all over the inside of the package. Then when I removed the bubble wrap, the palette box was completely broken!! There was eye shadow all over the place. I opened the palette and every single pod inside was destroyed, eye shadow mixing together in every piece. Some of the pods were missing all together. I was very unhappy and won't even dare try to order another one once I return this one.

I was pretty excited about getting this after watching several online videos about the palette online. I usually wear high end makeup but was willing to give this a shot after reading and seeing all the positive reviews. The first time I put them on without a primer just as a test and they made my lids feel kind of itchy. The pigments are pretty rich but you MUST wear a good primer to really make them pop and last (I didn't feel the itchiness with the primer). They seem to last about as long as the higher end brands that I usually wear. Overall, I say they are okay not amazing like everyone makes them seem. I got the 4th edition (all shimmer) and the 2nd addition (shimmer and matte) and I definitely feel like the 4th edition better. The shimmers seem to pop a lot more than the mattes (I guess this is typical) and also blend better. I could hardly get the mattes in the 2nd edition to blend at all (this could be my brush), they seemed really dull. I wish the different colors were numbered so it would be easy to remember which colors I really like. Also, I think the 4th edition is great for anyone with dark skin like me. The lighter colors and mattes hardly showed up on my skin which defeats the purpose of wearing eyeshadow to me. I recommend this to anyone who wants a good value and a lot of different shades. But spend the money on a high end primer (UD) and good brushes and these should work fine!

This kit is perfect, there are over 100 shades of every gradient of color. The color pods are very small (maybe 1/2 inch diameter) but you dont need a lot to make a big impact because the colors are highly pigmented. I would suggest using an eye shadow primer to get a "MAC" effect. One of the trays lifts up and the bottom tray is stuck in place, just be careful when opening. If you drop the kit, the colors will spill over and blend into other colors. Besides that the kit is perfect for the price and it helps a makeup armature to find what colors work best on them. Pros; Lots of colors, nice selection from natural to extreme, case is slim and nice. Cons: color pods are small so if you run out of your favorite color, you will have to buy again or select a new fav.

I was really looking forward to buying a make up palette. The trouble was that there are too many and i didn`t know which one to pick! Eventually i picked this one because i liked that there were greyish and brownish tones more than vivid colors and it is at a very good price. Well, this palette does its work. The colors i need [the browns, greys, dark oranges, and even the vivid red/orange(that coral color)] are very pigmented and look very nice(also the shimmering ones!!). The blues are beautiful also. However, some colors like those light ones are not very pigmented and does not really show up altough i use a primer every time(so, for example, i have to use another product for the white color). I was a bit afraid of the shipping part because a lot of people complaint about crashed eyeshadows and so on, but mine came beautifully bubble-wrapped and i was thrilled that each and every eyeshasow was intact! It`s awesome that no damage occured. The package is great, and there is a mirror attached to the inside of the palette which is very nice! (i didn`t know that it will come with one) All in all, i think that for this price (i paid 16$), the product is better than expected and if you are looking for darker colors, then this is the palette you need. Altough i like it very much, i gave it only 4 stars beacuse of the lighter colors.

Colours were very pigmented and lasts for a long period of time. The colours differed from each other meaning there was a wide variation of colours to choose from. The browns are of different shades which allows you to pick out a specific brown shade.

super impressed with this product. got it for my daughter for xmas. she does cosplaying and loves makeup. she did my beauty makeup and the product felted good as well.

So worth it! So many different colours to create looks from. 4 stars because I think the packaging is quiet fragile, I'm always afraid that I'll break them.
