I needed to put up screens fast as I was being attacked by wasps and bees. This worked well with my bee gloves no problems. I use all DeWalt so I needed a battery adapter and it worked fine on my DeWalt batteries. I wish DeWalt made something like this but currently they don't. When I inserted one of the Ryobi batteries I have for other Ryobi tools, the stapler worked flawlessly. It drove staples to the crown in hardened yellow pine. With the smaller battery, I expect it to be handy for overhead work. But other than those 2, Ryobi is a great choice for the DIY person. **Q: Is this for lighter work as oppose to the 18 gauge narrow crown p360 version?** A: Hi, yes this is for lighter work. It does work great and very impressed with the battery life. **Q: Will this staple 1/4" plywood to ceiling rafters?** A: Don't think I'd recommend that as the primary method but it will do it with 9/16 staples, I'd only suggest it as a quick way to temporarily attach. Your question got me thinking and I did test attaching a piece of scrap 1/4 to some pine and it did do it (you would only get about 5/16 of staple through a 1/4" of material. using the maximum 9/16 staples) **Q: Would this work as a carpet stapler? Stairways and corners?** A: I’m not sure, I’ve used it for insulation mostly. I used mine to staple about 100 cardboard rulers to my trusses while prepping for blow-in insulation. It is light enough to use at arm's length over a days of work. Uses standard T-50 stapes, I used 1/2' deep staples and could bury them if desired. I also used 3/8" stapes for batt insulation installation.
