Prodyne Dips On Ice Stainless-Steel Bowl, 16oz

I ordered this serving bowl months ago and finally used it this weekend to hold homemade Ranch dip. The dip was used for veggies. First of all, after many parties, I knew I needed something of its kind as dips can easily reach room temperature when left out during a party. It was very simple: After making the dip, I poured it into the stainless steel container and covered it with the plastic cover included in the package. The plastic cover fit very tight which was great. When it was time to eat, I removed the stainless steel container from the refrigerator and uncovered it. I added crushed ice from the refrigerator ice dispenser to the acrylic container (half way) and placed the stainless steel container into the ice so that the ice covered most of the bottom. The dip stayed ice cold for the duration of the party (about 3 hours) at which time I covered the remaining dip and placed back into the refrigerator. Hardly any of the ice in the acrylic container had melted and there was no pooling of condensation on the countertop under the container. This is a very nice product which also looked very nice at the party.

I love it EXCEPT the snap on plastic lid does NOT snap on, it keeps popping off. This is very inconvenient in transit. I took it to a picnic and in transit the lid popped of and I can never get it to stay on even when I hear a very light snap. It's almost like it's too small so it will not snap on. I'll continue to use it but only at home, I can't take it with me with food already prepped and in the stainless steel bowl, because the lid snaps off and contents spill out, which is very inconvenient!

I was so happy with the first one I got a second one. It is perfect for dips, appetizers, condiments, or my favorite: poke! It keeps the fish cold and the lid allows you to store contents in the fridge before or after use. The ice actual lasts a long time, I think the stainless steel bowl keeps it extra cold and seals it in. As a bonus, my stemless martini glasses fit inside, too, so it keeps my drink frosty cold, too. I love these, great for entertaining and perfect for summertime or warm environments.

This is my second purchase of the same product. Does a great job at keeping my food cool when I need to put things out for awhile at parties. Perfect for things such as sliced fruit to garnish drinks/desserts, dipping sauces, etc.

This item is awesome.... Nice size...not too big not too small. Perfect size ....awesome quality.

I like the size of it and how it holds the ice and water. The lid does not fit very snug on it and pops off easily.

This dish is beautiful and functional. It kept our dip cool all evening with only one ice refill.

Es pequeño pero muy bonito. Buena calidad y se ve bien en la mesa para poner guarnición molida para 3 o 4 personas . Si la guarnición es de verduras es menor la proporción . Satisfecha con mi compra.

my food stayed cold for more then 4 1/2 hrs. I was worried the ice would melt & overflow from reading previous reviews but it didn't happen. I filled it 1/3 full of ice like the instructions said. The plastic bowl looks like glass. Very expensive looking. Love it.
