Great for a begginers, Slinky easy to bend, plus brighten up a cheap muddy sounding guitar too!
Writing a review as I have 13 guitars here in my camper and 6 or so back home. So I am a bit impressed. My situation- I got these thinking the extra magnet and extra slinky attributes would help out my Harley (Fender Sonic Mustang wanna be) as it is a 24 scale and my wife already has the later one and this was cheaper - for basically if and when I take lessons because of the shorter scale length b/c the teacher can put me thru some runs, hammer ons with my pinky etc... You know Harley Benton has a tendency to sound muddy, so thought the extra magnetic drive wouldnt hurt. So... The strings as I was installing them stuck to the pickups b/c the magnetic pull was that strong, and are very slinky AND a bit beefyer fatter to the touch and I liked that too! Sound very good! Most likely from the magnetic quality.

Sound amazing and feel amazing
I was very scheptical of what these would sound like compared to the hybrid set on my Ibanez, I have A Dimarzio Super Distortion at the neck and a Dimarzio Pro Track in the middle and a Dimarzio x2n at the bridge and the hybrid set sounded good but did have that extra part that was missing in the articulation of heavy riffs and stuff and some of the low end was more muddy sounding and seemed to feel a little off when you set the action and so forth, so i tried out these extra slinky and these blow my mind, its like it still does that low end but it has that extra articulation now with that low notes you get, its insane, and alot easier to pull of pinch harmonics and riffs, ultra smooth fret slides, i am super picky on the guitar, i have my frets polished at 12000 mirror like finish and these just glide so smooth on the frets. If you are ultra scheptical about what strings to get and see so many out there and I am glad i found these as these seem more than good enough for me, now it makes me too addicted to Improv playing again with drum beat in background then playing pc games and stuff :)

Good strings good price
Ernie Ball Cobalt SS strings. What is not to like. These were the genuine article which is important since there are knockoffs being sold in identical packaging.

Amazing sound an longevity
Absolutely the best sounding strings I've ever played super stretchy for bends. Very clear crisp sounding!!! You will have to tune a lil more maybe but the pros over shadow the cons. They sound great for a long long time longevity and playability are amazing

Best replacements on my Les Paul

They stay in tune and last longer than any other string on the market.
Enjoy these strings a lot for their clear, crisp tone. They stay in tune longer than any other string I've tried. And if you don't change your strings often, you'll find they still sound great, even after a few years. The biggest drawback is that the wound strings will sound incredibly scratchy. If you play thrash metal and/or like that super heavy crunchy sound, then these will fit the bill. But, if you want to play in a smooth jazz style (or something similar), the wound strings will be way too noisy/loud, especially if you don't lift your fingers completely of the strings before changing frets.

Fantastic strings
I had watched a video review by Kenny Wayne Shepherd on these strings in which he stated he really liked them and put them on all his guitars. I thought there may be some endorsement issues associated but he did a thorough job of presenting his fondness. Therefore, I chose to go in for a set to try them. I was pleasantly surprised after I strung them on my Les Paul. First was the general feel of the strings which seemed to be smoother than others I had tried, including super slinky and rock and roll super slinky. During my stretch routine, these strings came to a stable point much faster than any other strings I have tried. I stretched them then played for about 20 minutes, expecting to re-tune across the board and found that the G, B, and E high strings were only slightly out (probably because of bigger bends). That amazed me. The clarity of the sound was another awesome feature. These are very crisp but have depth to the tone. They don't sound twangy or plinky. I found it rather difficult to get consistent pinch harmonics with other strings but was throwing them out all over the place with these. It's almost like the strings are alive. Amazing strings. I can't speak to the longevity yet but others have said they last longer and stay in tune longer. It appears they are engineered well enough to live up to that claim. The engineering and sound from these strings also allowed me to fine-tune my intonation better than I ever had before. Immediately after this review, I am ordering 5 more sets.

Good strings / But if you usually prefer Super Slinky read this.
I usually use Super Slinky so if your like me and wanted to try these, here is a comparison from my opinion. 1. These feel more "stringy" like looser and more wirey to play, the Super Slinky felt more thick and heavier. 2: Cobalt is much brighter so if you play a more acoustic type style you will notice a pretty big difference. almost has a small sitar type of reverberation. 3: Cobalt seemed to pick up a bit stronger on my pickups, sounded great with heavy distortion. With the extra brightness you could really make each string shine, just seemed to be lacking in the lower tones I needed and felt stringy. Super's provided a lower tone as well as the extra firmness I needed when playing. Overall I had to go back to super slinky, but may slap them on an extra rig for some distorted fuzz fun.
