It covered our kayak outside, where it got sun about 5-6 hours a day in the summer. And I live where it gets pretty hot. The cover worked well for about 9-10 months. It faded, but I didn't care about that. But over time the material got very brittle and then, suddenly, it just fell apart. Anywhere I touched it, it just ripped. So I got one year out of it. That is okay, but my expectation was that any cover should last a bit longer. ### ⭐ Not for use in the sun! *by T***X on Reviewed in the United States on March 26, 2019* This cover is advertised as a UV sunblock but it has lost color in just a couple weeks. It's gone from blue camo to purple. It should be noted it states specifically on the label that this cover should only be used as a dust protector, not meant for heavy outside use in the sun.However, I plan on just doing that, but I will coat it with a good UV protectant to prevent it from fading and deteriorating over time.
