The turbo muffler WAS quieter than this one, but not by much. At idle, this muffler has a very nice, low rumble. On the highway it isn't bad either, it's louder, but pleasant if you like the sound of a V8. I feel it is not aggressive or raspy at all. It doesn't sound like a redneck truck, and instead sounds very tasteful IMO.
