I have 4 of these drives in a synology disk station **Q: I got 4 but did a warranty check on one and Seagate does not Honor that. Where is the 5 year coming from?** A: When purchased at retail these drives have a 5-year warranty. However many of the drives are purchased as OEM for inclusion in servers but then resold at retail with no warranty. The drives should still perform well but you will not receive any warranty support.
