The quality of the cradles seem pretty good (plastic) and the tag says it holds up to 8 lbs. I'm not sure if being in the sun will make the plastic brittle and not last for the next year. The spike in person looks much shorter than what the stock photos show. I measured it and it's 2.25 inches in height. The width of the cradle is 8 inches x 6.5 inches. I don't remember what it said in the listing to compare if it's accurate but that's the measurements I got. Even though the spike isn't as tall as what the stock photos seem to show, it still works well to support the melons by not having them rest directly in the grass and I actually placed another order as I have more baby melons growing! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works and long lasting *by T***Z on November 14, 2024* Getting the melon off the ground is important to prevent rot.
